📢 Blackmill bridge works – public meeting

Residents of the Ogmore Valley are invited to a public meeting to learn more about the replacement of the A4061 river bridge at Blackmill.

📅 Wednesday 28 October
🕠 5.30pm
📍 Blackmill Youth and Community Centre

The meeting will cover the programme of works, traffic management, public transport arrangements and how disruption will be minimised.

The project, with up to £3.5 million in Welsh Government funding, will involve replacing the entire bridge deck to address significant structural issues and to protect this vital route for future generations.

We previously announced that local company, Centregreat Ltd, has been appointed as the contractor for the works.

"“This is a fantastic initiative, and its positive impact on the appearance of our streets and public spaces is already very evident.”

It's always great to hear how our work is making a difference to the places people live, work and visit!

Our Bridgend Works team has been busy weeding, cutting grass and tackling overgrowth across the county to help keep local streets and public spaces looking their best.

A Porthcawl resident recently got in touch to share their appreciation for the work in their local area, praising the team’s efforts and highlighting the difference it makes. Feedback like this means a lot to our Bridgend Works team, who work hard to make a positive impact in our communities.

Have you spotted overgrowth that needs attention in your area? Visit our website and select the ‘Report an issue’ tab to let us know
