A second Essex-based Reform UK councillor has been suspended by the party in six days.
Bradley Thompson has been suspended by the party after "several serious and well-documented allegations of misconduct".
Precise details about the allegations have not been disclosed at this stage. EssexLive understands Cllr Thompson no longer represents Reform UK on Essex County Council and Tendring District Council.
He currently represents the Clacton West and St Osyth ward for Essex County Council, and West Clacton & Jaywick Sands on Tendring District Council. Cllr Thompson has been approached for a comment.
A Reform UK spokesman said: "Cllr Bradley Thompson has been suspended from Reform UK following several serious and well-documented allegations of misconduct."
Mr Thompson had been a high-profile member of Reform UK in Essex. He was congratulated on winning his seat in May 2026 by Peter Harris, who is the party's leader of Essex County Council. He was also pictured attending a polling station in Jaywick with the national party leader, Nigel Farage, on polling day in 2026.
Last week the party "suspended" a councillor after it was found that they had "damaged" the party's interests. Chris Perera now sits as an independent councillor on Essex County Council. A Reform UK spokesman previously said: "Following an investigation, Cllr Perera was suspended from Reform UK after it was found that he damaged the party's interests."
Reform UK gained control of Essex County Council in May with victories in 53 seats. The Conservatives, who had previously run the authority, were reduced to just 13 seats. Essex County Council has been approached for a comment.
