Childminders with the Flisat IKEA table, how many of these stools will fit under it? I can’t decide whether to order two or four. 🤔

Different shades of orange in the paper, cardboard, crayons and colouring pencils to help the children to understand what orange can look like. Colours can be a difficult concept to learn when there are so many shades of each one.

They tried to snip the strips of paper and if that didn’t work then they ripped them. They spread glue and used their pincer grip to pick up the tiny pieces of paper. They used crayons and pencils to make marks on the paper.

Old prescription glasses are great for fancy dress, usually stronger than children’s sun glasses. Just press hard on the lens and they pop out.

I have a space for three full days a week from January. There would be a possibility of the child doing a Friday this term if needed, then starting to do more days in January.

I’ve been Ofsted registered since 2010. I have a BA Hons in Working with Early Years Children and their families, paediatric first aid trained, as well as other mandatory training such as safeguarding.

We are out and about in the community every day, visiting groups such as Totscise Babycise and Daisy Lane ,libraries, Fineshade Woods, East Carlton and other local parks. You’ll have seen our adventures if you have followed my page. Feel free to message me for more information.

There is an incredible amount of conkers at East Carlton this year, they are huge too. It was windy when we arrived this morning, the conkers were falling from the tree and crashing on the ground. In places the floor was covered with them.
In the time we were at the park it went from autumnal wind ➡️ sun shine ➡️ rain ➡️hail➡️rain➡️and finally glorious sunshine.

When children move on and a new cohort starts I often find that I don’t have the right resources. I don’t have a huge amount of space so I tend to sell on things that aren’t used.

Whereas last term the children wanted nothing but bikes and scooters, I now have some children who are too young for those. Their current favourite pass time is crawling to the gravel and either eating it, or cheekily waiting with a stone poised at their mouth for me to say “no eating the stones”. They are cruising and often stand at the mud kitchen but it is a little too high for them right now. This sandpit is the perfect height. My daughter questioned why I was buying a sandpit when it’s nearly October. 🤣 I’m sure they’ll love it all year round. Next week my most said phrase will be “we don’t eat sand”! 😜
