See classic cars, motorbikes and vintage vehicles take over our historic streets, explore replica motor shops and garages, and catch the unmissable Cavalcade of Vehicles as it roars through the Museum.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who help bring Black Country history to life every single day💕

From sharing stories and skills to welcoming visitors with a smile, our volunteers are essential to the museum.

Wander through the Museums authentic streets, filled with the sights and sounds of wartime Britain. From swing and jazz to patriotic anthems, put on your dancing shoes and cut a rug to a selection of fantastic live music acts.

Our 1940s evening is the perfect way to celebrate the golden age of music, memories, and community spirit.

1940s Evening Join us for a spectacular evening of nostalgic entertainment as we step back in time to celebrate the spirit of the 1940s.

Meet our new historic character, maid Alice.

Alice is getting ready to begin an exciting new job at the big house. Since leaving school, she has been working in Gregory’s Store, so this new role as a housemaid will be a big adventure. She’ll earn £20 a year, that’s around £2,000 in today’s money, and she will even get to live in the beautiful manor house.

She’ll be dressed in a smart new workwear, adorning a black dress, white apron and maid’s cap. Life below stairs will certainly keep Alice busy, her days will be long, starting at 5am and finishing at 10pm, and with only one day off each month, visits back home to the village will be very special indeed.

Come along this May Half Term and meet Alice during her final week at Gregory’s General Store. She’d love your help getting ready for the move, especially learning how to fold crisp white napkins for all those grand dinners.
