347 (Dudley) Squadron Air Training Corps

We are exited to welcome our new cadets onto the squadron tonight. If you wish to join and haven't popped up to see us, come along between 19:00 and 19:30 and you can join.

We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow for our Open Evening. Doors are open 19:30 -19:55 for a 20:00 start.

On Sunday we were fortunate enough to get 4 last minute flying spaces at 8 Air Experience Flight. RAF Cosford. We joined 4 cadets from 156 (Kidderminster) Squadron ATC for the fun filled day.

The day started early with 4 cadets very quickly getting up in the air getting to do some aerobatics and pull G.

Unfortunately, wind picked up to speeds too great for cadet flight and flying was postponed for a few hours. To soften the blow we spent 2 hours together at the museum and unfortunately buying every single souvenir in sight. Upon return to 8 AEF we were saddened to find out the situation wasn't getting better but we completed the PTT element of our Blue Wings before heading home.

We would like to do a massive shout out to all the Cadets mums. Thank you for giving your child the opportunity to attend flying on Mother's Day and supporting them infinitely. They were all so happy to see you after the event.

At 347 we don't only like to commend our cadets but our staff members too.

Please join us in congratulating FS Woodward on his promotion last month after over 7 years as a valuable member of our staff team.

Last Monday we had the opportunity to join take 7 cadets flying and bring 5 cadets from 2488 Kingswinford Squadron Air Training Corps with us.

We had a successful day dispite the previous very rainy days where 9 cadets got to fly and 6 of those first time flyers. All cadets gained their Blue Wings as we had the chance to do our PTT on site.

We all want to say a massive "Thank you" to CI Phillips for coming to assist us. All cadets from both squadrons loved having you join us for the day and the day would not have gone ahead without your invaluable help. Your energy and excitement kept everyone going thoughout the long day!

Celebrating 85 years of the Air Cadets.

On Sunday we joined the rest of Sector 3 at St Mary's Church Kingswinford for our ATC Sunday parade.

Due to adverse weather we are closed tonight. Parents meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, the timings will stay the same. Uniform will be on Cadet Portal.

We are currently recruiting for our new recruit flights!

If you are in year 8 and up to age 18 come along to our open evenings (with a parent or gaurdian) and see if you can see yourself at our squadron.

We teach radio communications, DofE, sports, music, fieldcraft, shooting, adventure training, cyber protection, space, and so much more! We even are providing flying and gliding opportunities for our Cadets (our current recruit flight are already getting prepared to take off very soon).

Then join us for open nights at the squadron.

We have 2 different start dates for our next intakes so double the opportunity to get involved. Our first start date is 3rd February with the open night on Tuesday 27th January and the second start date is 14th April with the open event on Tuesday 24th March. Arrive between 19:30 and 19:55 for a 20:00 start.
