On Tuesday we were delighted to officially launch our Summer Bucket List and Events list, at our Going for Gold campaign launch which took place in the City Chambers. We were joined by P3 pupils from Sacred Heart Primary School, who shared with us their favourite food-related activities!
The Summer Bucket List is a list of activities for families and individuals to take part in over the summer holidays. We have compiled a list of resources and links to help you complete the activities. If you complete any of them, let us know by posting a photo and tagging your picture/s and some text on social media using

With the threat of a late frost finally behind us, June is a month where everything is buzzing with life! Lots of varieties of vegetable can be sown right now. Just watch out for weeds taking over, and slugs attacking those new leaves.
For those keen to start growing, or already with green fingers, check out our suggestions of 'What to Grow This Month'.

Last week the GFPP team visited Sacred Heart Primary School in Bridgeton to talk to pupils about the Going for Gold campaign! The children made food faces with fruit and vegetables, and even tried some foods they hadn't tried before.
The P3s also came up with some fantastic activities for our ‘Fun food-filled summer activities’ bucket list! This will be a list of fun food-related activities for families and individuals, to take part in, over the summer holidays. It will be up on our website soon, and available as a handout at our upcoming launch event on 16th June.
Thanks to Sacred Heart Primary School for having us.

The first event for our Going for Gold campaign is our Going for Gold Campaign Launch. This will host various food-based organisations who will be promoting various fun family activities you can take part in over the summer. We will eventually compile all these activities into a Bucket List Of ‘Fun Food Filled Activities For The Summer' for children and families to enjoy together. Come and find out about activities available over the summer holidays and how you can get involved!
Everyone is welcome, but spaces are limited, so booking is required. Follow this link https://lnkd.in/ec2RBEYy

Big Announcement! We are pleased to announce that GFPP have been invited to apply for a Sustainable Food Places Gold Award, to reflect all the amazing work that has gone on in Glasgow over the past 5 years and more.
So, today we are launching Glasgow Going for Gold - the campaign to support Glasgow’s bid for a Gold Award. This is not an award for any one organisation - but an award for everyone in Glasgow who eats, grows, and works towards a better food system.
A big focus will be on children, young people and families, and how they can get involved. We hope you will support our campaign, and over the next few weeks we will be sharing ways that you can get involved.
