An amazing morning surrounded by some of the most fabulous people in the funeral industry 🩷

Such a lovely morning catching up over breakfast with great friends from across the funeral profession. Good food, good chat, and the best company - always a pleasure spending time with people who bring so much kindness to the work we all do.

Lovely to see Karen and Tom of Dove, Natalie Stevenson Celebrant, David Somerville Independent Celebrant, Colette and Mark Robinson Civil Funeral Celebrant and Emma Memorials Wishaw

Roll on the next breakfast catch‑up! 🤍

Talking about death doesn't make it happen, it shouldn't be scary and it's really important. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who donated at the Funeral awards your generosity and support have been truly outstanding. Funeral Awards

We also want to recognise the meaningful connection between the funeral services and the baby loss retreat. Together, they create a compassionate space where families can grieve, reflect, and begin to heal. The support doesn’t end with the service; it continues through the retreat, offering comfort, understanding, and a sense of community to those navigating such a difficult journey.

Thank you all the volunteers on the night you were amazing.

Your kindness helps make all of this possible, and it means more than words can express.

Thanks to Glasgow Live for the story and Ashlie McAnally for writing this and volunteering on the night

For my followers in Preston.

Following the distressing news that the Police are conducting enquiries at Martin’s the funeral directors, we would like to reassure the public that the majority of funeral directors are caring and trustworthy professionals.

Like many others we belong to the NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) and we abide to the UK Funeral Director Code.
We were recently inspected by the NAFD in February and by both Lancashire Coroners service and our local environmental health officers.

The problem is that belonging to a governing body is voluntary and not compulsory. We believe that statutory regulation should be mandatory and enforced, as it is in Scotland.

Our thoughts go out to Martin’s clients and the families of those whose loved ones are currently at their premises. We are now helping some of those families to make alternative arrangements and endeavouring to bring their loved ones into our care.
