How can we better support older and retired volunteers to start, continue and thrive in volunteering roles?

Join us for an informal and friendly Volunteer Managers' Forum where we'll explore the opportunities and challenges of engaging older volunteers. With input from Age UK, we'll discuss age-inclusive volunteering, share experiences and good practice, and look at how organisations can respond to concerns around age-related barriers. The session will also provide an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and learn about sources of support that can help volunteers remain active and engaged.

Ready to hit the road and make a real difference this New Year?🎄
Join St Catherine’s Hospice as a Volunteer Christmas Tree Driver or Assistant! Help us collect and recycle real Christmas trees to raise vital funds for local hospice care.
🗓️ When: 9, 11, & 12 January 2027 (Flexible shifts)
📍 Where: Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Horley, Redhill, Reigate, Oxted, Godstone, and surrounding areas.

Ways to get involved:
• Drivers: Got a suitable vehicle and a valid licence? We need you!
• Assistants: No van? Help our drivers navigate, lift, and load trees.
