P3 Charity Improving lives and communities, by delivering services to support people facing social exclusion.

Established in 1972, P3 is a modern, forward-thinking national charity and social enterprise, delivering excellent services for people facing social exclusion. Our teams work alongside people all across the UK, to enable them to create change in their own lives. We specialise in homelessness services, supported housing, services for people recovering from mental ill-health, community-based advice and support and young people’s services to name just a few. We are a ‘people first’ organisation and our mission is to work alongside people to improve lives and communities, to unlock potential and open new possibilities. We know the work we do does make a real and lasting difference and we are committed to addressing challenges that others won’t. Going the extra mile we thrive on collaboration, both internally and externally, all to ensure the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

As temperatures drop, life on the streets can become even more challenging for people experiencing homelessness.

StreetLink makes it easy to connect someone sleeping rough with local support. Simply locate where you've seen them, describe their circumstances and submit an alert.

Your alert helps local outreach teams find people sleeping rough and connect them with services that can support them.

A small action from you could be the first step towards someone getting the help they need.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make somewhere feel like home.

Fresh bedding. Food in the kitchen. A warm place to stay. And people who genuinely care.

For Natasha, the support she found at P3’s Forest of Dean residential service in Gloucestershire was about more than having a roof over her head. It was about having staff who understood her struggles, helped her move forward and showed her she wasn’t facing things alone.

As Natasha puts it, these little things can make you feel like people actually care. ❤️

What makes a day memorable? Sometimes, it's doing something you've never had the chance to do before.

For the people supported by P3 Charity's Gloucester Accommodation Based Support (ABS) service, that has meant trips to Alton Towers, days at the beach, movie nights and opportunities to try something completely new.

Service Manager Michelle Wells and Service Coordinator Hayley Winter know that support is about more than finding somewhere to live. It's also about creating opportunities, making choices and having experiences to look back on. And it's not always the big days out that matter most. As Hayley explains, the small wins count too. Someone getting out of bed, managing their own time or discovering a new interest can be just as meaningful.

“Just little things, when you're struggling, can just make you feel like they actually care.”

For Natasha, who had experienced homelessness, alcohol addiction and the difficulty of not having a stable family situation to return to, finding support at P3’s Forest of Dean service in Gloucestershire meant more than having somewhere to stay.

It meant warmth, food, bedding, cooking equipment and staff who wanted to help her move forward, including accessing rehabilitation when needed.

These things might seem like everyday things, but when life has been uncertain, having what you need to make a place your own, and knowing someone cares what happens next, can mean a great deal.

Natasha’s story shows why good support is about more than providing a roof. It’s about creating an environment where people are treated with care and have the opportunity to take their next steps.

Last week our P3 colleagues attended a webinar hosted by Onvero to reflect on this year’s Black History Month theme: “Honouring Our Communities”.

The session focused on how we can create workplaces where everyone feels safe, seen and able to take part, and the difference that everyday actions can make in helping people feel included and valued.

We explored practical ways to be better allies, challenge barriers and build psychologically safe environments where everyone feels they belong.

At P3, we believe inclusion is something we all have a part to play in. It means continuing to listen, learn and reflect on our own behaviours, and making sure these values are embedded in the way we work and support others.

We’re proud to keep learning and taking steps towards a more inclusive culture, where everyone has the opportunity to feel heard, respected and valued. 💙

From receiving support to helping others find their way forward.

When Leigham came to P3, he was working through difficulties with substance use and wanted to build a more independent life.

With support from the team at P3 Forest of Dean at Acorn House, he was introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and connected with people who understood what he was going through.

He later became a volunteer, and today, Leigham works as a Support Worker at Acorn House, using his lived experience to support others on their own journeys.

His story is a reminder that someone's journey doesn't end when they receive support. Sometimes, it leads them to a role where they can offer that same understanding to someone else.

This is why we do what we do. David's journey has been shaped by childhood trauma, experiences that continued to affect his mental health well into adulthood, and years without the support he needed.

When he moved to Halifax in 2018, he left everything behind and didn't know a single person. Through P3's Calderdale Adults Housing Related Support Service, he met Amy, who has listened, made time for him and supported him throughout his journey, including helping him secure a grant to support his move into a safe home.

🎥 David's full interview will be released soon on our YouTube channel. Keep an eye out to hear more of his story, in his own words.

Every year on 10 October, we recognise both World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day. These two important awareness days highlight issues that are often closely linked.

Homelessness can have a significant impact on a person's mental health, just as mental ill health can contribute to someone experiencing homelessness.

At P3, we see this connection every day. That's why we take a person-centred approach, recognising that everyone's circumstances, experiences and support needs are different.

From housing advice and practical help to emotional support and connections with specialist services, we work alongside people to help them feel safe, supported and able to move forward.

Because everyone deserves a safe place to live and the right support to thrive. 🫶
