Young people’s voices are at the heart of building a safer, fairer West Yorkshire.

That’s why we’re launching a competition for 11–25-year-olds to share their ideas on staying safe from gangs, crime and pressure from others.

🏆 The winning entry will become a real campaign across our region.

Two young Huddersfield artists are challenging perceptions of drill music.

JHS Driss and KelzGoneWest have worked with Yorkshire Youth and Music and Musica Kirklees to create powerful original tracks that draw on their own experiences.

Our project is showing the positive potential of drill music and how it can offer young people a creative outlet and way their voices can be heard.

Virtual Decisions – Delivery Partner 2026-27– EOI

In 2025-26, the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) piloted having a dedicated delivery partner for their Virtual Decisions intervention, who had access to a number of virtual reality headsets and delivered sessions from June 2025 until March 2026. The pilot year evidenced that this dedicated approach is successful in reaching young people across West Yorkshire with the intervention being delivered in more varied settings, beyond schools. The VRP intend to replicate this approach for 2026-27.

The VRP is holding a grant round and asking those interested in this opportunity to consider submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI).

We strongly recommend you read the specification (https://tinyurl.com/4dbj5djh) and supporting information (https://tinyurl.com/3rvwyv7v) documents before submitting the EOI.

Please send clarification questions to [email protected] and title to email ‘Virtual Decisions – Delivery Partner questions’. Clarification questions can be submitted between 29th June and 17th July 2026. Any questions received after this date will not be responded to.

Please also contact [email protected] if you require any of the documents related to this opportunity in a digitally accessible format.

Deadline: 12 noon, 31st July 2026.

Please note, submissions after this date will not be accepted.

Please share. Thank you 😊
