SATEx 2026 PAINTBALLING

At our annual squadron adventure training camp, cadets took part in many activities, one of which being PAINTBALLING!

Cadets were tasked with following a course, engaging with hidden targets upon contact. They were awarded points for speed and ✨pizzazz✨

Cadets are taught weapon handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use

SATEx 2026 ROCKCLIMBING

At our annual squadron adventure training camp, cadets took part in many activities, one of which being ROCKCLIMBING!

It was amazing to see cadets work together and encourage one another as they confidently climbed up the rock wall! We saw amazing examples of teamwork, as the cadets had to communicate to one another as they climbed or belayed!

NEW INSTRUCTOR CADETS

A MASSIVE well done to Cpl Baxendale and Cdt Cash who have now passed their cadet method of instruction course and assessments!

On this course, the pair were taught how to properly teach and instruct cadets, and after 3 brilliantly successful observed lessons, they have been awarded their yellow lanyard!

We can wait to see you teach and inspire 1908’s cadets!

BLUE SHOT!

Congratulations to the set of cadets who have achieved their blue shot badge on the air rifle!

After completing their weapons handling training and tests, the group got a chance to shoot at a recent camp and did AMAZING!!

ROAD MARCHING SUCCESS

A massive well done to the cadet who absolutely SMASHED their blue road marching course!

Blue road marching is a course that requires dedication and strength, shown by all who took part!

Sports night with a Twist(er)!

Led by our new sports officer, the cadets enjoyed a sports night with a difference where they took part in twisted, seated football and aiming drills! They had a great time, especially during the NCO twister round!

⛰️ Windermere adventure training camp!

Recently, 3 of our cadets attended the Windermere adventure training camp where they took part in many activities such as hikes, absailing, rock climbing, zip lining, team building and much more!

The trio had a great time, building on their skills and confidence!

DofE success!

A massive well done to three of our cadets who have achieved their blue DofE badge!

Blue DofE is an award given to cadets who have passed a series of fitness tests over several parade nights and is the first step cadets take in their DofE journeys!

On to bronze, you’ll all smash it if you hit it with the same enthusiasm!

To give a massive thank you to the Salvation Army Liverpool Walton for their brilliant hospitality whilst we’re unable to use our HQ, the cadets and staff donated a selection of Easter eggs which will be given out to children and young people in the community.
