We offer treatment for adults and children based on the Davis approach to "learning difficulties". Dyslexia treatment generally takes 30 hours, often scheduled over five days, needing about 50 hours of follow-up work at home. Addressing ADD, AD/HD, maths problems and handwriting generally add 15-20 hours on to the initial dyslexia treatment. We offer a range of training options for educators and other individuals passionate about education and learning. We offer free talks for organisations about making teaching and learning easy, while addressing learning difficulties in an inclusive manner.

💙 Tom Hardy publicly revealed that he is on the autism spectrum during a panel at New York Comic Con in October 2024. While discussing the intense, hyper-focused technical process he uses to play Eddie Brock/Venom—which involves balancing pre-recorded audio tracks, sound effects, and real-time instructions through an earpiece—he mentioned that he can get "really geeky" about it. He then shared casually, "I just sound like I'm on the spectrum… because I am." Incredible man and actor! 💙

During a panel for Venom: The Last Dance, actor Tom Hardy casually mentioned that he is autistic.

While explaining his intense, hyper-focused acting process (where he balances real-time audio feeds, scripts, and timing in his earpiece) he laughed and noted: "I can get really geeky about this process, but I just sound like I'm on the spectrum… because I am."

It was shared entirely in passing, but it serves as a good reminder of something the outside world completely takes for granted:

people really have no idea how much energy autistic people pour into masking.

When the public sees a highly successful, confident, and charismatic actor like Tom Hardy, autism isn't the first thing that comes to mind.

But the autistic community knows what looks like effortless confidence is often an exhausting performance.

Masking means carefully controlling and second guessing everything you say and do every single day just to fit into a neurotypical world.

And ironically, who is better equipped to manage that non-stop than an award-winning actor?

His intense acting process is an example of how an autistic mind can operate.

It’s a great reminder that when someone looks like they are coping and fitting in, it doesn't mean they aren't working overtime to carry it off.

In her TEDx talk, Davis Facilitator Sue Hall challenges the idea that every learner should be expected to learn in the same way.

Through clever examples, including the difference between Apple Mac and PC thinking, Sue shows how dyslexic learners often process information differently and why education needs to make room for those differences.

A powerful reminder that dyslexic minds do not need to be forced into the wrong mould. They need the right tools, understanding, and approach.
