By fourth grade, Lindsay was almost ready to give up hope that her son would ever read comfortably.

Then she found Davis.

Her son was curious, brilliant, and loved science.

But reading brought meltdowns every single time. Three years of phonics, letter tiles, sand trays, apps — nothing worked.

When she finally discovered The Gift of Dyslexia and tried the Davis orientation procedures, her son said it worked.

She could clearly see the difference.

By May, the improvement was so significant she trained as a Davis Facilitator herself. 'Davis really works, and everyone ought to know it.'

Facilitator Friday: Savannah Smith has autism and dyslexia herself. Nearly 20 years ago, she completed a Davis program. Now she runs Rocky Point Academy to help others like her.

Recognizing the profound impact of these programs on her own life, Savannah dedicated herself to sharing what she received. At Rocky Point Academy in Calgary, she helps frustrated, stuck clients realize their goals are far more attainable than they believed.

An 11-year-old with dyslexia and possible ADD attended for five days. His reading level improved three grade levels. He achieved 100% on a math test for the first time. A girl named Hannah struggled for years despite support—she couldn't understand what she read, had no short-term memory, suffered from anxiety and poor coordination. After one week at Rocky Point, her teachers noticed an immediate difference. By November, her grades were amazing. Her coordination improved. Her anxiety disappeared.

An 18-year-old came dreading school, spending entire nights on homework, feeling lost and confused. After the week at Rocky Point, everything felt different. He went from barely passing to honor roll. He understood what was being taught. Homework takes less time. He found people who learn like him.
