The Vietnamese Trade Representative in the United Kingdom recently organised a Viet Nam – UK Business Networking Event in London, with the participation of representatives from the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT), Asia House, the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), along with a wide range of UK-based Vietnamese businesses and UK partners.

The event provided a practical platform for exchanges between Vietnamese enterprises and UK importers, retailers, distributors and sourcing partners, focusing on market access, supply chain cooperation and emerging business opportunities in the UK market.

We were encouraged by the strong engagement from UK institutions and business organisations, as well as the active participation of the Vietnamese business community in the UK, reflecting shared interest in strengthening commercial ties and promoting sustainable, long-term cooperation.

The Vietnamese Trade Representative in the UK will continue to work closely with DBT, Asia House, LCCI and other stakeholders to support business connectivity, facilitate partnerships and promote mutually beneficial trade and investment between Viet Nam and the United Kingdom.

🔹 Digital infrastructure — including data, cloud systems, and enterprise digital platforms — will play a critical role in boosting productivity and competitiveness.
🔹 The Forum also emphasised that Viet Nam’s new growth model must be driven by innovation, human capital, and stronger private-sector participation.

These directions open new avenues for cooperation in renewable energy, digital technologies, smart manufacturing, and sustainable finance — areas where Viet Nam and international partners, including the UK, have strong potential to deepen collaboration.

Investment Promotion Conference of Viet Nam in London

On 16 September 2025, the Ministry of Finance of Viet Nam successfully organized the Investment Promotion Conference at the London Hilton on Park Lane, United Kingdom, with the participation of more than 300 representatives from the business community, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, and government agencies.

The Conference was chaired by H.E. Minister Nguyen Van Thang and moderated by Mr. Don Lam, CEO of VinaCapital. The agenda included presentations and discussions on Viet Nam’s macroeconomic outlook, investment opportunities, and prospects for international cooperation .

A key highlight of the discussions was the Government of Viet Nam’s strong commitment and roadmap to upgrade Viet Nam’s financial market from “frontier” to “emerging” status.
