The Friends of the Derry Walls is a local charitable organisation, helping local people to engage with the heritage of our walled town and the island of Derry.

Join us! The Derry Walls is the largest ancient monument in state care in Northern Ireland and claims the most intact circuit of ramparts of any of the surviving town walls in Ireland. Walls400 is a programme of activities that celebrate the 400th anniversary of the City Walls. Started in 2013, Walls400 explores the contested history that the City Walls represent and celebrates them as a present-day, national heritage asset, with the potential to unite rather than separate people. Every year until 2019 we host a series of events so stay tuned!
