Royal British Legion Mansfield Branch
Branch meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month at Debdale Sports Centre, Debdale Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, NG19 7NS, commencing at 7.30pm.
The RBL Mansfield Branch, like every other RBL branch aims to help, assist and provide support to all serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces community and their dependants. New or even prospective members are welcome to join us. Meetings generally last no more than an hour and involve discussions on RBL news and events with the occasional guest speaker. There is a raffle at every meeting. After the meeting, there is plenty of opportunity to socialise with friends and meet new people.

Such a shame that it's been vandalised and the respect has been lost.
Dear People of Mansfield!
This is the photo of the vandalized War Memorial at the Old Meeting House Unitarian Chapel today, 16/04/2026. It was done either in the night or in the morning advantage being taken of the fact that with the car park and the works on Walkden St our grounds are more isolated.
27 names of young men from Mansfield who died in WW1 and WW2 - 27 bereaved families and many more as the loss rippled throughout families, communities and the town.
Is this what they deserve from the present generation?
Shame on us if we are not able to teach our children and youth the story of our heroes, the history of this nation! Shame on us if we as adults did not take the trouble to learn and are unable to respect and teach respect for sacred places!
This War Memorial and our Peaceful Garden is holy ground, where past, present and future converge, where we remember our heroes and let our children play! It is not for drinking, taking drugs or littering!
Our grounds are open to all but please, help us keep the War Memorial and our grounds free of vandals and vandalism! May the respect we show be a sign of the honesty and of the gratitude of our remembrance!
