🚸 SCHOOL WORKSHOP 🚸

Today I woke silly early - the alarm clock started with a 5! As my sister would say "who knew there are two 5's in a day?" 🤣 . So up I was to drive to Leicester. Linden Primary School hired Little City Northampton for their nursery children for an end of your treat! I know there is another 6 weeks of the Summer 2 term but I had to squeeze them in. Who needs admin days anyway, right? 🤔🤣

Well, what an absolute pleasure it was. There were 38 children that came to play split over 2 hours of wonderful role play. I had a great conversation with one boy in the post office about all the places on our planet and where, particularly, Leicester was on the globe - "well that's very small" was his response 🤣

I watched the children in the doctors make each other better by giving each other medicine. I'm not sure injections are meant to go in ears, but who argues with the doctor 🤷🏻‍♀️

I loved seeing how the teachers engaged with the children, got involved in their play, even did some of their own play - plaiting hair in the hairdressers 💇‍♀️🤣

But the best bit was watching 3 boys all get dressed into superhero outfits, flexed their muscles, then all sat down at the cafe and tucked into their takeaway pizzas and burger. It was if they were three grown men going for a pint 🤣

Linden Primary, you were fab! Thank you for a great morning of role play fun! The pictures depict just how hard they played 😁

P.s. I loved the fact the teacher was already talking about booking Little City Northampton again half way through the first session ❤️

🎈 BELLA IS 3!🎈

I ventured up to Welford for Bella's 3rd birthday party today and it was a such pleasure! Bella's Mummy and Daddy (and granddad) did a great job decorating the hall as I set up the city. I very much appreciated the tunes from Bella's daddy phone!

Bella looked super cool when arrived in her demin bomber with her name on the back - I wonder if I could get a Little City one made. 🤔

The children all had a great time, sharing and taking turns with the toys and ride ons. I lost count of how many times the birthday girl, Bella, whizzed past on the police motorbike. 🤣

Thanks goes out to Bella's Mummy and Daddy for their incredible hospitality! The cake was wonderful! Also to the guys for helping carry everything to my van at the end. Much appreciated!

As for Welford community centre - wow! That is a great venue and I will be enquiring to see whether we can bring some sessions to the north of the county! ❤️

😎 BANK HOLIDAY 😎

Wow, what a bank holiday weekend! I've been quiet as I've spent the weekend with family and amazing friends! Playdate, scout camp for Christopher, food with friends - that was just Saturday. Sunday we travelled to Norfolk, cheeky swim in the sea followed by a beachside sauna, then with an afternoon and evening of bbq and drinks with more friends. Then today a trip to the beach, paddling, fish and chips followed by ice cream, then a hot sweaty drive back to Northampton! 🫠 I am knackered, but cup is full!

Join our next PAYG event tomorrow at Duston with our Dino themed city! Roar!

Not been to one of our sessions before, here is why should you come: Our role play sessions are aimed for children aged 1–6. They're all based around interactive and imaginative play which is designed to support learning and confidence.

What that really means: Your little ones get to play pretend, gets to try out the things they see us do like shopping, taking pets to the vets, taking the car to the garage, getting our haircut in a fun, friendly environment. And building confidence, communication and sharing skills along the way, by "just playing".
