A Message from Sonia Dabas, Harsh*ta Brella’s Sister

On behalf of our family, I want to sincerely thank every single person who has supported us, stood beside us, and joined our fight to get justice for my sister, Harsh*ta. Your kindness, love, and unwavering support have given us strength during the most painful time of our lives.

In loving memory of Harsh*ta, we will be holding a memorial on Saturday, 23rd May, at Hazelwood Community Centre. We would be truly grateful if you could join us to honour her life, remember her beautiful soul, and stand together in love, solidarity, and support.

Join us as we come together to remember and honour the life of Harsh*ta Brella. 🕊️

Harsh*ta was just 24 years old when she moved to Corby in 2024, full of hopes, ambitions, and dreams for her future. Tragically, her life was taken far too soon in November 2024.

This memorial service is an opportunity for the community to pay their respects, stand in solidarity with Harsh*ta’s family, and support their ongoing fight for justice. Her sister Sonia, father Satbir Singh, and mother Sudesh will be attending after travelling to the UK for the first time in pursuit of answers and justice for Harsh*ta.

They will never be able to bring Harsh*ta home, so they are making the 4,000-mile journey from India to England to force British authorities to do more to find her killer.

18 months after 24-year-old Harsh*ta Brella’s body was found in the boot of a car in East London, her family has travelled thousands of miles carrying nothing but grief, memories, and a determination to fight for justice.

They walked the same paths Harsh*ta walked before she disappeared. They laid flowers where her life was stolen. A mother forced to visit the place her daughter died instead of the home where she should have been welcomed with love.

Her husband, Pankaj Lamba, who is charged with her murder, is still believed to be in India. Yet Harsh*ta’s family say they are still waiting for answers, action, and accountability.

No family should have to cross continents begging for justice for their daughter. Harsh*ta deserved safety. She deserved a future. She deserved better.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Harsh*ta Brella’s family has travelled from India to the UK in a heartbreaking fight for justice for their daughter. 💔

For the first time, her parents and sister visited Corby — the town Harsh*ta called home — to lay flowers in her memory.

Her husband, Pankaj Lamba, was charged with her murder in November 2024 and has since fled to India.

A family grieving. A community remembering. And growing calls for justice that cannot be ignored.
