We’re pleased to share details of a new fund which will benefit wildlife habitats and biodiversity in the Broads.
The Wildlife Rich Habitat Fund, supported by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), offers an exciting opportunity to fund projects which support nature recovery and boost biodiversity across our precious landscapes.
Funding could help support schemes such as:
🌱 Restoring fens, reedbeds and grazing marshes
đź’§ Creating ponds and improving wetland habitats
🌳 Planting hedgerows and creating new wildlife habitats
🦋 Helping wildlife flourish for generations to come
The fund is open to landowners, businesses, public organisations and charities, with projects needing to benefit the Broads. It can fund projects lasting for more than one year and may also be able to include reasonable preparatory and development costs where these are necessary to deliver the project.
If you have a project in mind for 2027/28 we'd love to hear from you.
