A little update from us 🤎

We’ll be at the Nottinghamshire County Show at Newark Showground TOMORROW (sat 9th May) and the forecast is looking lovely ☀️
We’ll be bringing Windy and Bluebell along for the day, so if you’re visiting please come and say hello!

Tallulah will be staying home for a very exciting reason… she is VERY pregnant and now officially on strict rest whilst we wait for her foal to arrive any day now 🫏🤍
We’ll share more updates on that very soon because we know lots of you have been following her journey!

Ginger will also be staying home with Tallulah to keep her company — donkeys should never be alone 🤎

We’ve also had quite a few messages asking about the next Meet & Greet sessions. These will just be slightly delayed while we complete the final paperwork and council checks relating to the pigs. As frustrating as delays can be, making sure everything is done properly and to the highest standard is really important to us, so thank you for your patience whilst we get everything signed off behind the scenes.

Our adoption visits officially begin tomorrow 🥹 and I can’t wait for you all to finally meet the donkeys properly.

Because so many of you have been in touch about adoptions, I’ll also be running something a little extra alongside them…

🐴 Meet & Groom with Ginger & Windy
⏰ 12–3pm
📍 Nottingham Road, Trowell Moor

Come and spend some time with them in the pen, give them a gentle groom and get to know them 💛 sessions last approx 15 mins (or whenever you’ve had enough brushing!) your welcome stay longer and enjoy the views and a giant pin on the tail on bluebell game 😁 

💷 £5 per person 
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 supervising adults free
📲 Booking only – just message me to get booked in
🤍 Adopters can use their discount

We’ll also have our last 10 adoption packs available on the day ✨
You’ll be able to choose your own gift to go inside and have it made up there and then.

Happy 4th birthday to our Tallulah 🎂✨

Still absolutely convinced she’s a labrador. Totally spoilt. Constantly seeking attention. Zero personal boundaries.

Can’t tell if she’s ditzy or just a full-time thrill seeker… gets herself stuck in things, ignores electric fencing, couldn’t care less about rain, mud or common sense.

She’s an absolute sweetheart with people — even if she rudely wanders off mid-cuddle, only to return 3 seconds later demanding the exact same attention again!!

Perfectly daft. Completely lovable. Fits in here far too well 🤣🤦‍♀️
We wouldn’t change her for the world 💚

The weather was pretty horrendous for the duration but we were delighted it was still so busy from start to finish and had a great time chatting to so many of you! Thanks for all the donkey love to those of you that braved the rain ☔️

More of you have adopted donkeys than I predicted so please bear with me whilst I get these packaged and posted this week- first batch went out this morning 🙌 your support is really appreciated- every adoption helps us look after all the animals in our care and keep doing what we love ❤️

💨 In case of wet weather (we won't be able to have our stock out as the gazebo will prioritise the donkey pen), you can pre-order your gifts and we’ll have them beautifully packaged and ready to collect on the day!

🌟 I love how random our days can be and the lovely people we get to meet each week!

After researching the best place to get outdoor lights came out top for quality and customer service- and when they heard we had donkeys, they messaged to ask if they could hand deliver

So the next day they arrived, got some donkey cuddles, and patiently explained about the lights- I went for warm white as it doesn’t include blue light that can interfere with wildlife- who knew?!

📷 This week has been full on again- updates will be on stories, we’ve had a visit to cutthorope school with the donks- beautiful setting and wonderful people, the donkeys isolation unit (sick bay) is complete and another new stable is being worked on today
