🌳 A Historic Gathering at Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue! 🌳

We were honoured to host a landmark visit from High Sheriffs representing ten counties across the region, alongside their Consorts, to experience one of Rutland’s most unique heritage landscapes! ✨

Susannah Fish OBE QPM, The High Sheriff of Rutland, described the Avenue as "an extraordinarily special place" and praised our incredible group of volunteers who protect and enhance it.

Read all about their visit, why civic support matters to our Trust, and what our distinguished guests had to say about our living treasure in our latest blog post! 👇

Receiving The National Lottery Heritage Fund grant has allowed us to build our education and training programme.

This funding helps us maintain momentum in building knowledge of topiary work while giving volunteers the experience and confidence to reshape outgrown trees at Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue.

Yesterday marked our second training event ran by Darren Lerigo (Modern Mint) and Chris Poole (EBTS) In the morning, we ran another basic course, and in the afternoon, we held our first advanced topiary course, offering it to delegates who had attended either yesterday's or last year's basic course.

✨Did you attend either course? If so, let us know in the comments what you learnt 👇
