Our volunteers give so much to our organisation, without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do! From our incredible garden team, our talented shop team and crafters, our volunteers that make our visitor experience and events possible, and work on the maintenance of Bannockburn House itself, thank you to each and every one of you ⭐

Why not come along on a Filming Tour with us, getting behind the scenes intel on filming such an iconic series in a Category A listed heritage site.

We couldn't resist taking some photos of our new grant acknowledgement and works signage while the sun's out! ☀️
Work is now well and truly underway on the North-West Gable, with Emergency Project 1 being generously supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and Historic Environment Scotland. The work will stabilise some of the most vulnerable parts of the building, protect its rare historic fabric and help secure its future. Bannockburn House Trust would like to extend its sincere thanks to our current funders for their invaluable support.
Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage. The Emergency Project 1 works at Bannockburn House are made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to fund saving the northwest gable wall from collapse, making the house watertight, and helping to ensure the house can remain open to the public safely.
Thanks to the support of Historic Environment Scotland, we are carrying out vital emergency works to safeguard Bannockburn House. This includes a specialist timber survey and steeplejack works to assess the condition of the roof and help secure the building against further water ingress.
Come along to Bannockburn House to hear all about the works, or better yet join us on Friday 19th June for 'Behind the Restoration: Meet the Architect & Engineer', a full day conference with a tour, workshops and skills demonstrations to allow you to really get an insider's understanding of Scotland's most ambitious community-led heritage conservation project.
