In Celtic folklore, the unicorn is a protective guardian of the threshold between the physical and spiritual realms. Elusive yet powerful, fierce yet graceful, the unicorn reminds us that some things — truth, wonder, belief — cannot be easily captured, only glimpsed.

This spirit of myth and legend inspires Culture Night Stirling 2027. 'Forest of the Unicorn' is an invitation to step into imagination and to rediscover the power of myth to inspire, and to connect us to place, and to one another through music, art, song, story, poetry, performance and more.

Looking for that perfect gift this Christmas? The festive market season is almost here! Kick things off at the Christmas Craft Fayre at Dunblane Centre this Sunday, where you'll find a fantastic selection of unique gifts from local makers.🎄

The Annual Christmas Fayre returns to the University of Stirling's Christmas Light Switch On, with more than 30 stalls from students, staff and community members. Later in November, the Stirling Christmas Market comes back to The Albert Halls. Browse festive stalls, then treat yourself to a mulled w**e and mince pie from the Albert Café Bar for the full festive experience.

You'll also find festive shopping at the Indoor Christmas Market at The Thistles, while the Stirling Farmers' Market offers plenty of gift inspiration from independent producers and creatives on 14 & 28 November and 12 & 19 December.

A Spooky Stirling Spotlight this Halloween!🎃

Which spooky Stirling activities will you indulge in this Halloween weekend?

There are plenty of opportunities to find the perfect pumpkin, with fun-filled days out at HalloWILD at Blair Drummond Safari Park, the pumpkin patch at Briarlands Farm, and the Arnprior Pumpkin Festival.

Will you be hunting spirits on the Haunted Jailhouse Tour at Stirling Old Town Jail or joining a ghostly tour with Stirling Ghost Walk or Walking Tours in Stirling?

There is also plenty of fun entertainment for the kids with magical potions at Dobbies Garden Centre, Halloween Hijinks at Stirling Castle or joining a spooky trail at the Smith Museum.

And if you're wondering what to do with your pumpkins once Halloween is over, why not have some fun and smash them at Briarlands Farm Pumpkin Smash event! These smashed up pumpkins go towards feeding cows and other animals on the farm.

We had our popular Family Day at The Albert Halls, Stirling with many table top activities and interactive games. The festival ended with a calming yoga at The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum.

Thank you all for joining us this year! We had brilliant sport and wellness events and we hope that you have learned and experienced something new.

‘Carnival’ is an audio-visual work that draws initial inspiration from the 9th century Viking threat to Stirling at its starting point and interweaves a portrait of contemporary mental health.

Step back in time and explore the various sports practised at Stirling Castle throughout time!
