🙌 Organisations still have time to apply to be part of Stirling Science Festival 2026 which is sure to be another blast. 🚀
The popular family-friendly festival will return this year from Wednesday 21 October to Saturday 24 October.
Applicants are being invited to submit a proposal for participation in this year’s four-day festival before the deadline of midnight Sunday 7 June.
The theme for this year is Play, Move, Discover- the Science of Sport, Play and Wellbeing.
Previous events at the festival have included author readings, expert lectures, plays, science shows, as well as exhibitions and displays from local environment and science groups.
STEAM covers a huge range of topics and there have also been a host of hands-on practical activities at the festival, such as workshops from Dynamic Earth and Glasgow Science Centre, digital skills with Codebase, together with crafts, forensic workshops and a broad range of table-top activities.
We also hope to further develop the adult programme for this year.
Venues for previous events have included: the Thistles Stirling, Stirling Council Libraries, The Stirling Highland Hotel, The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Creative Stirling, The University of Stirling, CodeBase Stirling and the Tolbooth Stirling.
We are open to new and unique locations for venues to be included in the programme, including ‘doors open’ events for local STEAM organisations or community groups.
If you would like us to find you a venue, there is an option for the
event team to assist with this once you have provided us with the details of your proposed event or activity.
We look forward to hearing from you on your proposal to encourage and foster an interest in all things STEAM!
