❤️🌺 POPPY PROJECT 🌺❤️

We would like to congratulate Wombourne WI, Wombourne Guides and the many members of our community who have lovingly made and donated poppies to create such a breathtaking Remembrance display at St Benedict Bishop Church. ⛪

The time, care and dedication that have gone into this wonderful project have created a truly meaningful tribute to all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, while reminding us of the importance of remembrance within our community.

It is truly heartwarming to see our community come together in such a special way to honour and remember those who gave so much.

❤️🌺 Lest We Forget. 🌺❤️

Our Remembrance Display is now in place.
Thank you to each and every person who has helped us with this project.
On behalf of Wombourne Wi and Wombourne Guiding.
Thank you 🙏
Lest We Forget ❤️

🎃👻 Trick-or-Treat Etiquette for a Spooktacular Halloween in Wombourne! 👻🎃

It’s almost time for little witches, ghosts and superheroes to hit the streets!

To make sure everyone has a fang-tastic night, here are some friendly tips for happy haunting in our village:

🕸️ 1. Only knock where you’re welcome!
If a house has its lights off or no decorations, skip it — they might not be taking part this year.

🍬 2. Be polite, little monsters!
Always say “Trick or treat!” and don’t forget a big “Thank you!” for your sweets.

🧙‍♀️ 3. Keep to the paths.
Avoid walking on gardens and lawns — broomsticks stay on the pavement!

🕷️ 4. Be mindful of younger spooks.
Let little ones have their turn first — everyone loves a fair fright!

🌙 5. Have fun and stay safe!
Stay with your group, watch for cars and enjoy all the boo-tiful costumes around the village.

Let’s make Halloween in Wombourne full of treats, not tricks! 🎃✨

Share your costumes with us using — we can’t wait to see your spooky style! 👀🦇
