If you are a science student and would like to discover French academic and industrial excellence in Outdoor Sports, Sustainable Development, Marine Science or Nanotechnologies, we strongly recommend you to apply for this scholarship!

Apart from visiting various industrial & scientific sites, you will also learn French intensively!

The deadline for submitting your scholarship application is on 30 March, 23:59pm HKT.

You can also register as a self-financed student to enroll into one of these programmes.

The French Alumni community in Hong Kong is organising the 2026 Hong Kong kick-off reunion to start the year on a high note!

With over 15 respective French alumni associations and the French Alumni Association in Hong Kong and Macau , more than 100 professionals & alumni will gather in the iconic Qura Bar of the Regent Hotel to build new connections and strengthen professional ties.

Working closely with our alumni is an integral part of the efforts of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and Campus France Hong Kong Office.

French nationals who are currently residing in Hong Kong and Macau represent a valuable asset for France’s economic and cultural presence. Meanwhile, over 400 local Hong Kong and Macau students carry out their studies in France, highlighting the attractiveness and excellence of our country in terms of innovation and long-standing academic traditions.

Whether you are alumni from Hong Kong or from France, this event is the perfect place for professional growth, cultural dialogue, and exchange ideas.

🎓Are you a HKDSE student? On January 17, the French Consulate will host a booth at the Hung Hom Office of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority to share information on how to study in France with HKDSE results.

The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau , the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES) and the Croucher Foundation are pleased to invite you to a scientific outreach breakfast dedicated to the intersections of mathematics, algorithms, and strategic decision-making.

On this occasion, we will welcome Yijun Wan, mathematician and quantitative researcher, who will give a talk entitled: “Can Randomness Be Your Ally? Maths, Algorithms, and Strategy” on the 3rd of February from 9am to 10:30am.

Yijun Wan is currently a quantitative researcher at Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) in Hong Kong. Prior to this, she spent nine years in France, first as a student at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) , then as a research engineer at the Huawei Paris Research Center, and later as a postdoctoral researcher at Université Paris-Dauphine .

She holds a PhD in applied mathematics from ENS and Université Paris-Saclay . Her research spans probabilistic models, machine learning, and game theory.

This breakfast aims to offer an accessible and engaging perspective on contemporary mathematical research and its real-world applications, while fostering dialogue between researchers, professionals, and a broader audience interested in science and innovation.

HKUST- France strong ties 🇫🇷

The Consulate General of France and HKUST share an enduring partnership that has grown stronger and more vibrant over the years.

To celebrate these close ties, HKUST gathered faculty members, students, and alumni connected to France. The “HKUST-French Connections Community Get-Together” began with warm greetings from HKUST President Prof. Nancy Ip and our Deputy Consul General Benjamin Hubin, setting a heartfelt tone for the event.

It was wonderful that both researchers, staff and French exchange students and HKUST students who spent time studying in France got to connect. All these connections demonstrate the solid exchanges between HKUST and French institutions in the framework of our France-HKUST Sustainable Innovation Hub!

A delegation of 20 French higher education institutions gathered in Hong Kong on 24 November 2025 for our institutional meeting and the very first edition of our Study in France Fair.

The day began with an overview of the higher education landscapes in France, Hong Kong and Macau. Delegates from France 🇫🇷, together with representatives from the eight 🇭🇰 public universities, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and universities in Macau 🇲🇴, exchanged views on current trends and prospects for academic cooperation over a delicious French breakfast.

To further promote French higher education, Campus France Hong Kong held the Study in France Fair at the French International School of Hong Kong , where the 20 delegates and were on hand to provide information about their programmes and studying in France to students and parents from both local and international schools.
