The Rapid Sand Filtration Plant under WSS Reshnagri Ramnagri Tengpora has been successfully commissioned and made functional today.
The plant will provide safe and purified drinking water to the residents of Reshnagri, Ramnagri, Tengpora and about eight adjoining villages, significantly improving the quality and reliability of water supply.
Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Shopian remains committed to providing safe and sustainable drinking water services to the people.

Drive Against Misuse of Drinking Water
The evening drive continues. Unauthorized plastic pipes used for the illegal diversion of drinking water have been removed. Consumers are requested to use potable water responsibly. Strict action will be taken against violators as per law.

Use Drinking Water Responsibly
During the ongoing heat wave, every drop of drinking water is precious. Consumers of District Shopian are requested not to use potable water for irrigation or any other non-domestic purpose, as it deprives other households of their rightful share.

The drive against the misuse of drinking water continues even during late-night hours. Our field teams are on the ground to ensure potable water is used only for domestic purposes.
