District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian, in collaboration with the Education Department today organized an awareness programme on Sexual Prevention of Child Abuse and Child Protection at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Shopian.
The programme was held under the directions of the Chairman, DLSA Shopian (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Mr. Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary and & Secretary DLSA Shopian Mr. Mudasar Farooq.
On the occasion Ms. Bisma Rafiq Assistant LADC Shopian addressed the students and explained various aspects of child protection laws. She highlighted legal safeguards available for children and informed participants about free legal aid services provided by the Legal Services Authority.
The session focused on raising awareness among students about their rights, safety measures, and available legal remedies in cases of abuse.
The programme was attended by teachers, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and a large number of students.
