On 12 June 2026, Ambassador Asazuma officiated at a handover ceremony for Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project which constructed new school buildings at AA Denk Primary School in the rural settlement of Karasburg, Hardap Region.
Supporting Namibian children through this project contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Namibia.

JAPAN-FUNDED CLASSROOMS INAUGURATED IN KALKRAND | nbc
Six classrooms were inaugurated at the A.A. Denk Memorial School in Kalkrand. The classrooms were constructed through a grant of close to 18 million dollars from the Japanese government.

On 11 June 2026, Ambassador Asazuma officiated a handover event for a drought resilience project titled "Enhancing Resilience of Farming Communities Affected by Drought through the Promotion of Adaptive Agriculture".
The project is implemented by the Food and Agriculture FAO Namibia Organization (FAO) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water & Land Reform (MAFWLR) from December 2025 to November 2027. Funded by the Government of Japan, the equipment was symbolically handed over to the Hardap Region in Mariental town.
