Founded by Johann Viljoen in Swakopmund in 2020, Namib Chilli has grown from a small home-based business into one of Namibia’s leading craft hot sauce producers. Driven by a passion for chillies dating back to 1994, the brand offers handcrafted sauces, condiments and spices, ranging from mild and flavourful to seriously fiery!

Through its distribution partner, Wutow Trading (Taueber & Corssen), Namib Chilli reaches consumers across Namibia through major retail chains and independent outlets. Its affordable PET squeeze bottles offer a lightweight, shatter-resistant alternative to glass, making its products more accessible to local consumers.

The brand continues to build a distinctive identity while expanding internationally. Having exported to Germany, Namib Chilli is now preparing its first Australian order.

In 2027, the business plans to relocate production to Worcester, South Africa, to improve access to packaging, logistics and international markets while continuing to serve its loyal Namibian customers. Although production is set to move, its Namibian heritage remains at the heart of the brand.

The inaugural Namibia Luxury Travel Market (NLTM) will take place 8–10 December 2026 at the Strand Hotel in Swakopmund, bringing together Namibia’s leading luxury tourism suppliers and carefully selected international buyers from Europe, North America, and Asia.

Through curated B2B appointments, industry leadership discussions, exclusive professional engagements, and hosted buyer familiarisation experiences, LTN will connect Namibian lodges, conservancies, travel designers, and hospitality brands with global markets.

More than a trade show, it is a platform to showcase Namibia’s defining luxury: vast open spaces, iconic desert landscapes, exclusive wildlife experiences, cultural authenticity, and responsible tourism that benefits people and nature.
