NamRA Commissioner Sam SHIVUTE handed over food parcels worth N$44,800.35 to the Omaheke Regional Governor Pijoo Nganate in support of the region’s Malnutrition Project, today in Gobabis. The donation was funded through contributions by NamRA staff, reflecting the Agency’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of all Namibians. The food parcels will benefit 10 soup kitchens across the Omaheke Region, providing essential nutritional support to vulnerable communities.

NamRA handed over 1,004 boxes containing 27,001 surgical protective suits, valued at N$1.24 million, to the Ministry of Health and Social Services through the Office of the Governor of the Erongo Region.

This contribution reinforces NamRA’s commitment to nation-building, supporting frontline healthcare workers and positively impacting the lives of every Namibian.

Key concerns raised by entrepreneurs included customs duties and import taxes, business process challenges, and the need to strengthen e-commerce and digital trade systems.

NamRA provided clarity on applicable tax and customs frameworks, outlined interventions to improve service delivery, and reaffirmed its commitment to taxpayer education, trade facilitation and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
