The Federal Road Safety Corps () Enugu State Sector Command has commended the National Association of Seadogs (Sancta Bermuda Deck - Enugu) and (Americana 1 Deck - Houston, Texas USA) for their commitment to road safety.

The Special Marshals in the sector command, in partnership with the two decks, held a one-day public enlightenment programme tagged “Arrive Safely, Safety First,”. The exercise, which held on the premises of the Onitsha South Transport Company, New Market, Enugu, was aimed at sensitising drivers and other road users on the need for safety on the roads.

The Capoon of Sancta Bermuda Deck, Oseloka Egbuchiem, promised that “we at NAS in Enugu will never back out of the campaign of enlightenment on safety on our roads. We cherish the partnership with FRSC and the Special Marshals and we will keep it as robust as the situation demands".

In continuation of its campaign on drug abuse - War Against Drug Abuse (WADA), the National Association of Seadogs, Sancta Bermuda Deck (Enugu), in collaboration with Americana 1 Deck (Houston, Texas), and Blizzard Deck (Connecticut, Boston, Maine), visited the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency rehabilitation centre in Enugu to interact with the inmates in the facility.

Dr. Okechukwu Ogbodo, who represented the Deck Capoon, Oseloka Egbuchiem, disclosed that the visit was to “cap the association’s enlightenment campaign in the last 8 months on drug abuse".

BENIN CITY – The National Association of Seadogs (NAS) has successfully concluded a community-driven medical outreach in Edo State, providing 120 residents with free screenings for breast, cervical, and prostate cancer, alongside comprehensive checks for other common health conditions.

The month-long initiative, which began on February 27 and ended on March 27, was held at the Centre for Disease Control, Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City.

The programme was sponsored by NAS Decks - Arabella (Benin 2), Batavia Subsea (Continental Europe), Hispaniola X (Lagos Island), and Terra Kona (Canada).

NAS EMBARKS ON SCHOOL RENOVATIONS AND LEARNING SUPPORT INITIATIVE IN MPAPE, FCT

As part of its unwavering commitment to humanistic ideals and in line with the NAS Street Child initiative, the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), through its Galleon Bay (Gwarinpa, Life Camp, Katampe, and Jabi – FCT) and Aqua Kanata (Eastern Canada) Decks, partnered with the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) to execute a transformative School Project Initiative at LEA Primary School, Mpape, Abuja.

The initiative focused on improving the learning environment through the renovation of classrooms, the school library, computer centre, and staff offices. These upgrades were designed to create a more conducive and inspiring space for teaching and learning.

In addition, the project restored the school’s borehole, ensuring access to clean and reliable water for both pupils and the surrounding community.

To further support academic development, the association distributed over 3,000 exercise books, along with stationery and other essential educational materials. School uniforms were also provided to pupils, to help promote a sense of pride, equality, and belonging.

Through this intervention, NAS has reinforced its commitment to education as a catalyst for empowerment - bringing renewed hope to the pupils of LEA Primary School and strengthening the foundation for their future success.

COURTESY VISIT BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SEADOGS (PYRATES CONFRATERNITY) TO THE FCT COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, (Prof) Ahmed Sanusi, PhD, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and align with the vision of the Command.

Speaking during the visit, the NAS Capoon, Dr. Joseph Oteri, noted that the engagement was in line with the association’s tradition of maintaining a cordial and transparent relationship with law enforcement agencies. He informed the Commissioner that the association would be hosting its quarterly meeting in the FCT.

On 7th April, National Association of Seadogs, Benbow Deck (Benin City), in collaboration with Saxon Deck (Northern England and Scotland), organised a comprehensive free medical outreach to commemorate .

The outreach held at GreenBay Hospital, Irhirhi Road, Off Airport Road, Benin City, and focused on providing accessible healthcare to over 130 members of the community who were in attendance.

Key Highlights of the free mission included comprehensive health screening, laboratory work up, distribution of essential drugs, supplements and recommended eye glasses, and consultancy services.

This collaboration between both decks further highlighted the association’s commitment to community health and humanitarian services.

National Association of Seadogs, Zero Meridian Deck (London, UK) visited the Newham Council Borough in East London, on Tuesday 31st March 2026 to distribute food and relief materials in support of its food bank project.

This is a quarterly outreach of the deck aimed at supporting the poor and needy in the surrounding community. The major highlight of the occasion was the reception and distribution of the items to the immediate beneficiaries of the community.

The outreach, led by the Deck Capoon, Paul Ejiofor (Esq), had in attendance other officers of the Deck including the First Mate - Olalekan Kpomo, the Second Mate - Prince Eyagbon, and the Welfare Mate - Alhaji Olajide Akinosho.
