In continuation of his vow when appointed as ESTMA Commander, Kenneth Ugwu reiterates his promise to keep reforming ESTMA.
But let's be honest, "reform" is a word every commander says. Most times, it fades faster than the applause.
He has promised a command where the standard does not bend depending on who is standing in front of you. Where the gate is not for sale and the desk is not for rent. Where the officer who does the right thing when nobody is watching is the one who gets recognized.
He promised that this reform will not be about him. It will be about the officer who finally feels proud to wear the uniform again. It will be about Ndị Enugu. The motorist who is treated honestly. The citizen who stops dreading the mention of the name.
Promises from offices are cheap. Everyone knows that.
But the Commander's work is continues. Quietly. Deliberately.
