On October 23, 2026, 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧 marked a remarkable triple milestone: the 𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐏𝐑𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and the 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦!
The festivities began with a vibrant parade joined by local leaders, LGU personnel, indigenous community members, and partner stakeholders, showcasing a municipality deeply rooted in its rich cultural heritage while boldly stepping into a digital future.
The program featured messages from local officials, 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓-𝐂𝐀𝐑, 𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐆-𝐂𝐀𝐑, and 𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐏-𝐂𝐀𝐑. A key highlight was the ceremonial rollout of the eLGU system, including eNews, the municipality’s official website builder.
With this milestone, securing business permits, civil registry records, and community tax certificates in Natonin is now faster, more transparent, and more accessible, bringing efficient public service directly to constituents, especially those in far-flung barangays.
Highlighting the essence of digital inclusion, 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓-𝐂𝐀𝐑 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐒. 𝐃𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧shared that digital transformation must not be something that happens to our communities, but something that happens with them and for them. He emphasized that digitalization does not mean setting aside cultural identity, as communities can embrace innovation while honoring their heritage.
He further noted that technology does not replace personal care for constituents; rather, it provides public servants with better tools and more time to deliver quality service.
RD Daoaten encouraged the LGU to actively use, improve, and sustain the eLGU System, maximizing its full capabilities to enhance daily local government operations.
To complement the launch, DICT-CAR established an eGovPH booth on site to assist residents with downloading and registering on the eGovPH Super App. Through direct, hands-on guidance, constituents received step-by-step orientation on navigating digital government features, making online public services more approachable and inclusive.
Kudos to the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧, under the leadership of 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐓. 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 and 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐧, for leading this progressive initiative.
Let us continue to honor our indigenous roots while embracing technology, ensuring that digital progress leaves no one behind! 💙🌐
