Young participants gathered at the Bantayan Municipal Hall - Social Hall last September 5, 2026 for 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦, a youth-focused learning event that covered leadership, civic participation, and health awareness.

The event featured sessions on 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, emphasizing informed decision-making and responsible citizenship. Discussions also tackled 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, and 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, providing participants with relevant information on health and well-being.

By bringing together civic and health education, the activity provided young people with knowledge intended to guide their decisions both as citizens and as individuals.

From learning how to lead with purpose to understanding the responsibility that comes with the right to vote, and from making informed choices about one’s health to building healthier communities, ALIMA YOUTH reminds us that 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵.

The conversations may have ended, but the responsibility to learn, discern, lead, and act continues.

As young voters, the task of being knowledgeable about the issues, analyzing information, and making decisions goes beyond the likes of personalities and popularity. In a world full of misinformation and political rhetoric, there are few qualities more essential than that of critical thinking.

𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 brings together young people for a meaningful discussion on voters’ education, leadership, misinformation and fake news, and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in the information we consume.

Let us learn to recognize what is true, challenge what is misleading, and understand the power and responsibility that comes with every vote.

See you there!

Youth leaders from the Municipality of Bantayan proudly participated in the ABTIK Voters' Education Training of Trainers 2026, a province-wide initiative that empowers young leaders to become advocates of informed voting, responsible citizenship, and democratic participation.

Through interactive learning sessions on the electoral process, voter education, media and information literacy, and action planning, the delegates gained valuable knowledge and practical tools that they can bring back to their communities to promote informed and empowered participation in future elections.

Together, Bantayan's youth continue to lead the way in building a more informed, engaged, and responsible generation.
