ZERO REGULATORY APPLICATION BACKLOG FOR 19 STRAIGHT WEEKS. The Central Office and 17 Regional Offices (ROs) sustain zero overdue on regulatory applications for the 19th consecutive week.

Since June, the Central Office-based Housing and Real Estate Development and Regulation Bureau and the 17 ROs throughout the country have been reporting and certifying zero overdue for regulatory applications on a weekly basis.

Under existing DHSUD policies, ROs are given 15 days to act on regulatory applications either through approval, denial or issuance of Notice of Deficiency of Requirements (NDRs). Those with NDRs are given 90 days to comply.

The move is part of the Department's Zero Backlog Program aimed at ensuring transparent and expeditious processing of regulatory applications, following an internal audit that showed there used to be backlogs at the regional level.
