Human rights are the foundation of a just and humane society. Today, we reaffirm that these rights are universal, inalienable, and worth defending.

Across the country, communities continue to face injustice, inequality, and violence. Many are still denied safety, dignity, and the freedom to speak, organize, and live without fear.

As AGILAS, we uphold courage, conscience, and compassion. We stand with the Masa, the Atenista, at ang Bayan in defending democratic spaces, demanding accountability, and protecting human dignity.

Human rights are not optional. We choose to act. We choose to stand with the people.

The struggle continues — and so will we.

On International Anti-Corruption Day, AGILAS stands with every Filipino demanding honesty, accountability, and governance that truly serves the people. Corruption steals from the Masa, undermines our future, and weakens our democracy.

As Ateneans, we choose courage. We choose integrity. We choose to fight back.

The Ateneans for Governance, Innovation, Leadership, and Service (AGILAS), in partnership with the AdDU Social Sciences Executive Council and BAHAGHARI AdDU, is launching the joint initiative “A Call to Help The Fire Victims of Brgy. 21-C.” This initiative is organized to extend support to the families who lost their homes in the recent fire at Brgy. 21-C, Piapi Boulevard, Poblacion District, Davao City.

Through this drive, we are inviting everyone to share what they can to help the affected families slowly rebuild their lives. Whether it is in the form of goods or monetary support, your help will surely make a difference.

Aside from donations, let us also continue to keep the victims in our thoughts and prayers, as these are also powerful in bringing hope, strength, and healing during this difficult time.
