Regional EOD and Canine Unit 11

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda through Enhanced Managing Police Operations,Davao del Sur PECU personnel thru the leadership of PCMS Joel L Paraiso, Team Leader, under supervision of PMAJ JOSEPH A NEBRIDA, OIC, RECU11 conducted distribution of ten (10) pieces of IEC materials to the passengers of Digos City bus terminal located at Brgy Aplaya, Digos City, Davao del Sur, regarding bomb awareness and also to encourage regular vigilance, communication to report potential threats with the partnership of the community and also address the effectiveness of their emergency preparedness and response to any threats specially in terrorism in our AOR.

Inline with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the strong leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of RECU 11 Headquarters led by PMAJ JOSEPH A NEBRIDA, OIC, RECU 11, conducted lecture on project A.B.K.D. or Awareness of Bomb that Kills Lives and Destroy Properties to Barangay Officials and Barangay Tanods of Brgy. Calinnan Pob., Davao City with a total of 44 participants, held at Barangay Hall of Calinan District, Davao City
This initiative reflects our strong commitment to community safety by raising awareness about the ill effects of explosives and their vital role in fighting terrorism. The activity was also an opportunity to encourage the partipants to help the government encourage the community to get involved in fighting terrorism and other forms of criminality through the practice of culture of security: volunteer, report. and participate since public safety is a shared responsibility between the community and the authoroties.

PECU DAVAO DEL SUR ENSURES SAFETY AND SECURITY AT MALALAG’S 73RD SAGAWAK FESTIVAL

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PMAJ JOSEPH A NEBRIDA, Officer-in-Charge, RECU 11, personnel of the Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU) Davao del Sur conducted security coverage through police presence, paneling, and sweeping operations for the 73rd Araw ng Malalag - Sagawak Festival at the Malalag Municipal Covered Court, Malalag, Davao del Sur.

These preventive measures are vital in preempting potential threats. Through a heightened presence at key venues, the Group remains committed to ensuring safety and providing a secure environment for this significant engagement.

(Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties) for the participants of Project Layog 2026, composed of Davao del Sur Provincial Youth Officers and youth representatives from the Municipality of Matanao, Davao del Sur, spearheaded by Mr. Angelo Magali, Provincial Youth In-Charge.

The activity aimed to raise awareness regarding the dangers posed by explosive devices and to educate participants on the proper Do's and Don'ts when dealing with bomb-related incidents, including bomb threats and suspicious objects. It also sought to encourage vigilance, timely communication, and reporting of potential threats through strengthened community partnership.

Furthermore, the activity emphasized the importance of emergency preparedness and response in addressing security threats, particularly those related to terrorism. Through this awareness campaign, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical insights that can help protect lives and properties, promote public safety, and foster a culture of security consciousness within their respective communities.
