BUYAGAN ES LEARNERS: HANDWASHING HEROES!

October 15, 2026 - Handwashing Heroes of Buyagan Elementary School join this years celebration of Global Handwashing Day!

With clean hands come healthier lives! Through proper handwashing with soap, we strengthen our advocacy for disease prevention, good nutrition, and healthy living. Clean hands help prevent the spread of germs that cause illnesses, while nutritious food and good hygiene support healthy growth, learning, and overall well-being.

TIPS FOR OUR YOUNG HANDWASHING HEROES!

🫧 Wash with soap and clean water. Do this before eating, after using the toilet, and whenever your hands are dirty.

⏱️ Scrub for at least 20 seconds. Clean your palms, the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

🍎 Eat nutritious and balanced meals. Enjoy a variety of healthy foods to help your body grow strong and stay healthy.

🚰 Drink safe and clean water. Keep your body hydrated throughout the day.

🤧 Practice proper cough and sneeze etiquette. Cover your mouth and nose, then wash your hands afterward.

🦠 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

🌱 Keep your surroundings clean. Dispose of waste properly and help maintain a clean and healthy school environment.

💙 Remember, being a Handwashing Hero means making healthy choices every day! Preventing diseases is not just about keeping germs away; it is also about eating nutritious food, practicing good hygiene, and caring for ourselves and others.

Let every learner Be a Handwashing Hero, not just today, but every day!

✅✅MY SAFETY PROMISE, MY RESPONSIBILITY! ✅✅

In celebration of National School Safety Week, the learners of Buyagan Elementary School continued the activity by proudly posting their personal commitments on the Safety Promise Wall, pledging to help create a safe, caring, and inclusive school environment.
Through these simple yet meaningful promises, our learners are reminded that keeping our school safe starts with each one of us. Together, let us stand against bullying, show kindness and respect, report unsafe situations, and look after one another.
✨ Every promise counts. Every learner matters. Together, we make our school safer for all! 💚

Mental health support or promotion is not just about being trained in Psychological First Aid (PFA) or raising awareness. Sometimes, it is simply about being present, feeling that we belong, and finding ourselves among people who support one another and make each day a little lighter. Even behind a smile and a burst of laughter, someone may be quietly navigating a mind that feels like a storm.

As a school community, we stand together for this cause, wearing our blue shirts and letting our voices be heard through this simple yet meaningful gesture. And to those who may not be wearing blue, know that you are one with us in thought and spirit. After all, a genuine smile can be enough to make someone’s day feel a little less blue.

Because the energy of one person, or many, matters. It ripples outward, touching everyone who connects with it.

A heartfelt thank you to our BSU BPED interns for making every Friday in October a little more vibrant, a little more alive, and a little easier to get through. Your Zumba sessions give us room to breathe, move, laugh, and momentarily shake off a week’s worth of paperwork, deadlines, classroom tasks, and checklists.

Sometimes, wellness is found not in grand gestures but in the little things: showing up, moving together, sharing a laugh, and reminding one another that we do not always have to carry everything alone.
