The Municipality of Liloy proudly celebrates another milestone as its outstanding initiatives earned recognition in three categories at the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, held on October 28, 2026, in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, as part of the 𝟯𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 recognize exemplary local government initiatives and good practices that promote excellence, innovation, accountability, and responsive public service. With awards conferred only upon the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 in each 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆, being recognized among the awardees is a testament to the impact and quality of Liloy’s governance initiatives.

These distinctions underscore the quality, impact, and dedication behind Liloy’s initiatives. Earning the championship in Citizen Participation and runner-up honors in E-Governance and Peace and Order reflects the municipality’s continuing commitment to digital innovation, public safety, environmental stewardship, and people-centered governance.

NATIONAL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK 2026

The Municipality of Liloy joins the observance of National Correctional Consciousness Week, recognizing the importance of rehabilitation, reformation, and restorative justice in building a safer and more compassionate society.

This observance reminds us that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity for positive change. Through strengthened community support, understanding, and cooperation, we can help promote successful reintegration and provide individuals with a chance to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

STRENGTHENING TRANSPARENCY AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP IN LILOY!

Mayor Roberto L. Uy joined community leaders, civil society organizations (CSOs), and government partners at the DAGYAW 2026: Open Government Partnership (OGP) Town Hall Meeting held today at the Municipal Gymnasium.

Organized in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX, the town hall focused on "Usapang Flagship Program: LGU-CSO Partnership for Participatory and Open Governance".

Through open dialogue and active public participation, LGU Liloy continues to champion transparent, accountable, and inclusive local governance for every Liloyanons.

LILOY HOSTS ALGAZI SPECIAL MEETING 2026

The Municipality of Liloy proudly welcomed municipal accountants from different municipalities across Zamboanga del Norte for the ALGAZI Special Meeting, held on October 15–16, 2026, at the Liloy Digital Transformation Center (DTC).

Organized by the Association of Local Government Accountants of Zamboanga, Inc. (ALGAZI), the gathering provided an opportunity for local government accounting professionals to come together for discussions, knowledge-sharing, and professional collaboration.

The Municipality of Liloy is honored to host this gathering and remains committed to supporting activities that strengthen cooperation, professional development, and good governance among local government units.

LILOY STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO HISTORY AND HERITAGE!

Look! The LGU Liloy Tourism Team, together with Municipal Mayor Hon. Roberto Lim Uy, Jr., CPA, participated in the LGU Training on History and Heritage conducted by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) on October 14–15, 2026, at the M.I.C.E. Center, Quezon City Hall Compound, Quezon City.

Notably, Mayor Jun Uy was the only mayor in attendance, demonstrating his commitment to preserving local history, protecting cultural heritage, and strengthening tourism as an important driver of community development.

The two-day training covered the following topics:

Day 1 – October 14, 2026

- The Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 8491)
- Protocol on National and Local Observances of Commemorative Events
- Introduction to Declaration of Holidays, and Naming and Renaming of Public Spaces
- Recognition of Historic Sites and Structures, and Resolution of Heritage Issues

Day 2 – October 15, 2026

- Introduction to Preservation and Conservation for Built Heritage
- Determining Risks and Basic Conservation of Movable Objects
- Establishing a Local Museum
- Introduction to NHCP–Local Historical Committees Network (LHCN)

Through this capacity-building initiative, LGU Liloy aims to deepen its understanding of historical preservation, promote local heritage, and strengthen initiatives that will preserve the stories, traditions, and identity of Liloy for future generations.

Because tourism is not just about the places we visit—it is also about the history we preserve, the culture we celebrate, and the legacy we leave behind.

Together, let us preserve our past, celebrate our identity, and build a more vibrant future for Liloy!
