President Tô Lâm is on a two-day State Visit to the Philippines, the first Party leader from Viet Nam to visit the country. His visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and a decade of the two countries’ Strategic Partnership.
During the welcome ceremony, the two nations’ anthems are played and a 21-gun salute is rendered in honor of the Vietnamese General Secretary and President. Afterward, the members of the two delegations are introduced to both Heads of State. President Marcos Jr. then invites the visiting leader to Malacañan Palace, where President Tô Lâm signs the guestbook.
