๐ก๐ฑ NHA IX Conducts House-to-House GCash IEC Campaign at Kagitingan Heights HOA
The National Housing Authority (NHA) Region IX โ Pagadian District Office conducted a House-to-House Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign on GCash Payment Services today, June 4, 2026, at Kagitingan Heights Homeowners Association (HOA), Barangay Bogo, Pagadian City.
As part of the campaign, NHA personnel visited housing beneficiaries and provided information on the use of GCash as a convenient, secure, and efficient platform for housing amortization payments. To further strengthen awareness, informational posters were strategically displayed in highly visible areas and community facilities within the project site, while flyers were distributed to residents as reference guides on the step-by-step process of making payments through GCash.
The activity aimed to encourage timely payment compliance, promote digital financial transactions, and ensure that beneficiaries are well-informed about the available payment options offered by NHA.
Through initiatives such as this, NHA IX continues to bring essential services and information closer to the community while advancing digitalization and improving service delivery for its housing beneficiaries.

As part of its continuing commitment to community empowerment and sustainable livelihood development, the National Housing Authority Region IX participated in and supported the conduct of a four-day Capacity Building Training on Bread and Pastry Production with Gender and Development (GAD) Attribution held on May 25โ28, 2026, at the Barangay San Jose Covered Court, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The training was spearheaded by the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor โ Field Operations Division for Mindanao (PCUP-FODM) in partnership with NHA Region IX, and the Zamboanga Sibugay Polytechnic Institute (ZSPI) represented by Ms. Mae Jane G. Dagupan, Community-Based Training Focal Person/Instructor III. The activity was facilitated by TESDA Region IX Trainer Mr. Randolf G. Cayetano.
A total of 30 beneficiaries from the San Jose Village Housing Project under the NHA Resettlement Assistance Program for Local Government Units (RAP-LGU) participated in the training, gaining practical knowledge and hands-on skills in bread and pastry production.
The activity aimed to equip housing beneficiaries with livelihood skills that can help create income-generating opportunities and promote economic self-sufficiency. Beyond technical training, the integration of GAD concepts emphasized inclusivity, equal opportunities, and the important role of both women and men in community development and entrepreneurship.
Through this collaborative initiative, NHA Region IX reaffirms its commitment to supporting housing beneficiaries not only through shelter provision but also through programs that enhance their capabilities, strengthen their economic resilience, and empower them to become productive and self-reliant members of their communities.

๐๐ก NHA Region IX & BARMM Marks the First Anniversary of Its New Charter Through Meaningful Partnerships and Milestones ๐ก๐
In celebration of the First Anniversary of the National Housing Authorityโs New Charter under Republic Act No. 12216, NHA Region IX & BARMM successfully conducted the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) and the Inauguration of the NHA Regional Covered Court and with a Photo Exhibit on May 29, 2026, at the Regional Government Center, Brgy. Balintawak, Pagadian City.
The event highlighted NHAโs strengthened commitment to bringing government services closer to the people through enhanced collaboration with partner agencies and stakeholders.
The newly inaugurated covered court will serve as a venue for community engagement, employee welfare activities, and various agency programs, while the photo exhibit showcased NHAโs milestones, accomplishments, and transformative housing initiatives throughout Region IX and BARMM.
The celebration was graced by distinguished officials and partners, including representatives from the City Government of Pagadian, Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). Delivering the Guest Speakerโs Message was Mr. Rovin Andrew M. Feliciano, representing the Office of the NHA General Manager, who emphasized the agencyโs continuing mission of providing decent, affordable, and sustainable housing communities for Filipino families.
Led by Regional Manager Engr. Al-Khwarizmi U. Indanan, the occasion reaffirmed NHA Region IX & BARMMโs dedication to its expanded mandate under RA 12216 and its unwavering commitment to building resilient communities and improving the lives of its beneficiaries in support of the Bagong Pilipinas vision.

LOOK | NHA IX PAGADIAN DISTRICT ENJOINS IN THE CONDUCT OF CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING ON BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION WITH GAD ATTRIBUTION
The ZDS/ZDN/ARMM-A District Office through its Community Support Services Unit actively participated in the conduct of a four-day Capacity Building Training on Bread and Pastry Production with Gender and Development (GAD) Attribution held on May 25โ28, 2026 at the Brgy. San Jose Covered Court in Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The activity was conducted in partnership with the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) โ Field Operations Division for Mindanao headed by Ms. Veverlyn F. Bandiola, and TESDA IX Zamboanga Polytechnic Institute headed by Ms. Mae Jane G. Dagupan, Focal for Community-Based Training/Instructor III, together with TESDA Trainer Mr. Randolf G. Cayetano.

The National Housing Authority Region IX, in partnership with the National Irrigation Administration โ Zamboanga Sibugay Irrigation Management Office (NIA-ZSIMO), successfully conducted the Community Household and Socio-Economic Profiling (CoHSEP) through Census and Tagging Operations in Barangay San Isidro, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay from May 18โ22, 2026.
With the invaluable assistance of the Local Government Unit of Titay through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Barangay Local Government Unit of San Isidro, the activity forms part of the preparatory and social safeguarding measures for the implementation of the Titay Small Reservoir Irrigation Project.
A total of 579 structures were successfully tagged during the five-day operation, ensuring accurate profiling and data gathering of affected households and communities. This initiative highlights the commitment of the concerned agencies in promoting inclusive, people-centered, and responsive development interventions for the benefit of the community.

In line with the observance of the 2026 Marawi Week of Peace, the National Housing Authority Region IX and BARMM, together with the Local Government Unit of Marawi City, successfully conducted the Awarding Ceremony of 392 housing units under the Pamayandeg Ranaw Residences at the Dansalan Permanent Shelter located in Barangays Kilala and Mipantao-Gadongan, Marawi City.
The activity was graced by the presence of Marawi City Vice Mayor Atty. Datu Majul Usman Gandamra, Secretary Nasser Pangandaman Sr. represented by Asec. Felix Castro, NHA Region IX and BARMM Regional Manager Engr. Alkhwarizmi U. Indanan, and NHA-MSO Deputy Manager Engr. Ali Acbar D. Lomigis.
The awarded housing units were formally turned over to the bona fide constituents from the four barangays within the reclamation site area of Marawi City, namely Barangays Datu sa Dansalan, Dansalan, Datu Naga, and Sabala Manao.
The ceremony symbolizes the governmentโs continuing commitment to peace-building, recovery, and the provision of safe and resilient communities for internally displaced families in Marawi City.

NHA IX Conducts Pre-Registration for the August 2026 Peopleโs Caravan and GCash Payment IEC Campaign.
In preparation for the NHA Peopleโs Caravan scheduled in August 2026, the National Housing Authority Region IX (NHA IX), through its Pagadian District Office, successfully conducted a Pre-Registration Activity targeting approximately 1,500 Housing beneficiaries.
The NHA Peopleโs Caravan is a one-stop shop service platform that brings together key government agencies and partners to deliver essential services directly to communities. It is designed to bring housing-related and support services closer to NHA beneficiaries, ensuring convenient access to assistance such as profiling, validation, consultation, and inter-agency services in a single venue.
The pre-registration activity plays a vital role in establishing an updated and reliable database of beneficiaries, enabling a more efficient, organized, and responsive implementation of the Caravan.
Simultaneously, an Information, Education, and Campaign (IEC) on the NHA GCash Payment System was conducted to promote safe, convenient, and cashless transactions among housing awardees. This initiative supports faster payment processing, improved efficiency, and reduced need for in-person transactions.
Through these efforts, NHA IX continues to uphold its commitment to accessible, integrated, and people-centered service delivery, ensuring that government programs effectively reach and benefit the communities they serve.

LOOK | A New Beginning, A Place to Call Home
A total of 40 housing units were partially awarded and turned over to Subanen family beneficiaries in Barangay Miatan, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte on May 7, 2026, under the Miatan Cultural Village Housing Project of the National Housing Authority (NHA) Region IX.
This milestone was graced by Hon. Irene G. Labadlabad, Representative of the 2nd District of Zamboanga del Norte, together with local officials of the Municipality of Katipunan led by Mayor Jose Michael โMeikoโ A. Wong and Vice Mayor Antonio B. Jumawan. Also present was NHA Regional Manager Al-Khwarizmi U. Indanan, reaffirming the agencyโs commitment to delivering inclusive and sustainable housing programs.
More than just numbers, these 40 homes symbolize renewed hope, dignity, and security for Subanen families bringing them closer to a future where they can truly call a place their own.
This initiative reflects the power of collaboration among national and local leaders in advancing people-centered development and empowering Indigenous communities.

LOOK | As the Holy Month of Ramadhan begins today, the National Housing Authority (NHA), in partnership with the Municipality of Bongao, successfully conducted the distribution of the โฑ10,000 Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) to fire-affected families from Brgy. Lamion, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The assistance was extended to a total of 910 affected families whose homes were damaged by the fire incident that occurred on February 3, 2026, with the payout activity held at the MBHTE Gym, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The EHAP aims to provide immediate financial support to disaster-affected families to help address their urgent housing needs as they begin the process of recovery and rebuilding.
The NHA, together with the Municipality of Bongao, remains committed to delivering timely and responsive housing assistance in support of affected communities.
