Empowering the Community through Cooperativism and Financial Literacy 📈

The Parañaque Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) was honored to serve as the guest speaker for the Symposium on Financial Literacy and Introduction to Cooperatives at Parañaque Elementary School Central.

As part of the National Women’s Month 2026 celebration with the theme "Lead like the Babaylan, Filipina!", the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) headed by Ms. Shella B. Bernal, SPTA Chairman, organized this session to help participants enhance their ability to understand and effectively manage personal finance skills.

📍 Venue: 2nd Floor, Media Room, PES Central
👥 Participants: 47 dedicated parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff.

"FCPAMS ORIENTATION"

Strengthening Financial Integrity! 🤝

The Parañaque Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), in collaboration with the Metro Manila Association of Cooperative Development Officers (MEMACDO), recently assisted the CDA-NCREO in conducting an orientation on the Financial Consumer Protection Assistance Management System (FCPAMS).

In compliance with CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2025-08, this session was specifically designed for Medium and Large Cooperatives with lending services across the National Capital Region.

📈 Attendance Highlights:

✅ 59 registered cooperatives participated from across the NCR.

✅ Proudly, 8 of these cooperatives represent the vibrant sector of Parañaque City!

"TULONG PANGKABUHAYAN POGRAM"

The Parañaque Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) and Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office (PLRMO) conducted the "ORIENTATION ON TULONG PANGKABUHAYAN PROGRAM AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SEMINAR" and "FINANCIAL LITERACY" for the 48 beneficiaries of the Tulong Pangkabuhayan Program as part of the requirements in the availment of the said program.

"FORMATION OF PCYN"

The Parañaque Cooperative Development Office successfully conducted the “Formation of PCYN: Parañaque Cooperative Youth Network.”

During this event, the first set of officers was officially established to lead and inspire the youth of Parañaque in joining and promoting cooperativism. This was attended by representatives from various schools, youth organizations, and cooperatives, with participants ages 18–35 years old.
