In collaboration with the Manila–Quezon City Disaster Response Team, we successfully conducted a Disaster Preparedness and Fire Prevention Seminar at Notre Dame of Greater Manila. The activity aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of safety, emergency readiness, and proper response during fire-related incidents and other emergencies.
During the seminar, we shared valuable information on fire prevention, emergency protocols, and the steps individuals should take in the event of a fire or disaster. The discussion emphasized the importance of preparedness, quick thinking, and cooperation in ensuring the safety of everyone in the community.
As part of the program, students were also given the opportunity to participate in a hands-on demonstration. They learned the proper techniques for using fire extinguishers and were able to experience operating a fire hose under the supervision and guidance of trained personnel. This practical activity allowed students to apply what they had learned during the seminar and gain confidence in handling basic firefighting equipment.
The seminar served as an important learning experience that helped promote safety awareness and preparedness among the students. Through this initiative, participants gained practical knowledge and skills that can help them respond effectively in emergency situations and contribute to building a safer and more prepared school community.
