Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to regional peace, public safety, and disaster preparedness, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Caraga actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) for CY 2026 held on June 3, 2026 at the Grand Palace Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City.

Representing BFP Caraga were 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎, Officer-in-Charge, together with 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗬 𝗧 𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗣, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, alongside key officials and stakeholders from various government agencies. The meeting served as a vital platform for discussing current peace and order concerns, public safety initiatives, disaster risk reduction efforts, and inter-agency strategies aimed at strengthening security and resilience across the Caraga Region.

Through its active participation, BFP Caraga reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration among government partners in promoting a safer, more secure, and disaster-resilient community. Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎, the bureau continues to support whole-of-government approaches that advance peace, order, and public service excellence throughout the region.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | As part of its continuing commitment to professional development and operational excellence, the Bureau of Fire Protection Caraga, under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge, 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, successfully conducted a learning intervention session spearheaded by the Fire Safety Enforcement Division (FSED) headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐘 𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐋 at the BFP Caraga Regional Headquarters in Surigao City.

The activity highlighted the crucial roles and responsibilities of the Fire Safety Enforcement Division in the implementation and enforcement of the Fire Code of the Philippines, including fire safety inspections, evaluation of building compliance, issuance of fire safety clearances and certificates, fire code enforcement, and other regulatory functions aimed at safeguarding lives and properties from fire-related hazards.

It was simultaneously attended by personnel from various provincial, city, municipal fire stations, and substations through the Zoom platform, ensuring wider participation and engagement despite geographical distances.

Through initiatives such as this, BFP Caraga continues to promote a culture of continuous learning, professionalism, and excellence in public service, further strengthening its mission of building safer and more fire-resilient communities.

TODAY | The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Caraga Regional Headquarters convened its Monthly Management Meeting on 03 June 2026 at the Regional Headquarters, headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎, DSC, Officer-in-Charge, BFP Caraga, bringing together the Command Group, Division and Section Chiefs, and all Provincial Fire Marshals joined via Zoom, aimed to align plans and initiatives in preparation for the upcoming activities for the month of June.

The meeting served as a vital platform for discussing key operational updates and organizational priorities, including the E-Hire Recruitment and Promotion Program, SMARTER Program implementation, compliance monitoring and validation of the Fire Safety Inspection System (FSIS), logistics distribution and inventory updates.

Through collaborative discussions and strategic planning, BFP Caraga continues to strengthen its commitment to operational excellence, organizational development, and the efficient delivery of public service across the region.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Caraga successfully carried out its comprehensive public safety and emergency response operations during the conduct of the Palarong Pambansa 2026 held from May 17 to 31, 2026, at Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎, Officer-in-Charge, BFP Caraga with close monitoring of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗬 𝗧 𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗣, Assistant Regional Director for Operations along with 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔 𝗗 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦, Chief, Regional Logistics, 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝘾𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙉 𝘾 𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙈𝙋𝙐𝙎𝘼𝙉, Acting Chief, Regional Operations and 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙍𝙇𝙔 𝙋 𝙀𝙍𝙇𝙄𝙉𝘼, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal-Agusan del Sur. The deployed Emergency Medical Services (EMS), headed by 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙀𝘿𝙐𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙊 𝙁 𝘼𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙕𝙊, 𝙅𝙍, 𝙍𝙈𝙏, 𝙈𝘿, Special Rescue Force (SRF), led by 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝘼𝘽𝘽𝙀𝙔 𝙅𝙍 𝙋 𝘾𝙐𝙔𝙉𝙊, Water Rationing Team led by 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙂𝙀𝙍𝙈𝘼𝙉 𝙇 𝙈𝙀𝙇𝙊, 𝙅𝙍, Fire Suppression Team led by 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝘾𝙔𝙋𝙊𝙇 𝙅𝘼𝙔 𝘾 𝙄𝙉𝙊𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙀 and Fire Safety Prevention Team led by 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙇𝙀𝙈𝙐𝙀𝙇 𝙋 𝙂𝙊𝙇𝙊𝙍𝘼𝙉 to strategically designated venues and billeting areas to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of thousands of athletes, officials, guests, and spectators throughout the duration of the national sporting event.

The deployment was reinforced by an array of operational resources, including fire trucks, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and specialized equipment, & other logistical needs enabling responders to provide immediate medical assistance, rescue operations, fire suppression readiness, and continuous water support services. Through coordinated efforts, unwavering commitment, and round-the-clock vigilance, BFP Caraga personnel demonstrated professionalism and excellence in public service, contributing significantly to the safe and orderly conduct of one of the country's largest sporting gatherings.

The successful implementation of these operational measures reflects BFP Caraga’s steadfast dedication to its mandate of protecting lives and properties while ensuring disaster preparedness and emergency responsiveness. As the Palarong Pambansa 2026 concluded successfully, BFP Caraga remains committed to upholding the highest standards of service, exemplifying its mission of being ever ready to serve and safeguard communities in every undertaking.

As part of the program, all personnel deployed from Agusan del Sur were awarded the 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, and 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐢 for the personnel augmented in the province, in recognition of their invaluable support, unwavering dedication, and exemplary performance in ensuring the safety and security of athletes, delegates, officials, and spectators throughout the national sporting event.
