DAY 5 | DOT8 ACCREDITATION CARAVAN – THIRD DISTRICT OF LEYTE

Wrapping up another day of the Mobile Accreditation Caravan, the Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII (DOT8) Accreditation Team visited tourism establishments in Leyte, Leyte, on October 30, 2026, to conduct inspections and provide guidance on compliance with DOT accreditation standards.

The tourism establishments inspected were:
• FarmBluff Resort
• RCD Lodge
• Delima’s Lodging House

DOT8 extends its appreciation to Hon. Anna Victoria “Ana” Veloso-Tuazon and her staff, together with the Municipal Government of Leyte, for their continued cooperation and support throughout the caravan.

DAY 4 | DOT8 ACCREDITATION CARAVAN – THIRD DISTRICT OF LEYTE

The Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII (DOT8) Accreditation Team continued its accreditation caravan on October 29, 2026, with the inspection of tourism establishments in Tabango, Leyte. This initiative aims to help tourism enterprises meet DOT accreditation standards and ensure quality services for visitors.

The tourism establishments inspected were:
• Bien Marko’s Pension House
• BLAMPCI Hostel and Events Place
• Marcelo Beach
• Diko’s Integrated Farm

The Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII (DOT8) Accreditation Team continued its Mobile Accreditation Caravan on October 28, 2026, with the inspection of seven (7) tourism establishments in Calubian, Leyte. The activity aims to assist tourism enterprises in meeting DOT accreditation standards and promoting quality tourism services.

MOBILE ACCREDITATION CARAVAN | THIRD DISTRICT OF LEYTE

The Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII (DOT8), in partnership with the Office of the Representative of the Third District of Leyte, the local government units within the district, and tourism stakeholders, conducted a Mobile Accreditation Caravan to bring DOT accreditation services closer to tourism enterprises in the district.

The activity forms part of DOT8’s continuing efforts to make accreditation more accessible to tourism enterprises and promote compliance with tourism standards across Eastern Visayas.

As part of the caravan, an Orientation on Accreditation was conducted to provide tourism stakeholders with information on the DOT accreditation process, its benefits, and applicable standards, highlighting the importance of accreditation in maintaining quality tourism services.

Through initiatives like this, DOT8 continues to strengthen its collaboration with local government units and tourism stakeholders to support the development of a more competitive and quality-driven tourism industry in the region.

The Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII (DOT8) proudly awarded the accreditation certificates to InnCity Hotel, under the Mabuhay Accommodation category, and Horizon Express Travel and Tours, Inc., under the Travel Agency category, in Calbayog City.

Along with the accreditation certificates, the establishments were also provided with their respective DOT Quality Stickers as a mark of their accreditation and commitment to providing quality tourism services.

This initiative is part of DOT8’s continuing efforts to encourage tourism enterprises to comply with national standards, uphold quality service, and promote a safe and enjoyable experience for tourists visiting Eastern Visayas.

MOBILE ACCREDITATION CARAVAN | CALBAYOG CITY

The 2026 3rd DOT Mobile Accreditation Caravan is now happening in Calbayog City!

The Department of Tourism – Regional Office VIII, in partnership with the City Government of Calbayog through its City Tourism, Arts and Culture Office, bringing accreditation services closer to tourism enterprises in the city!

As part of the activity, an Orientation on Accreditation was conducted with 35 tourism stakeholders in attendance. The orientation provided participants with a better understanding of the DOT accreditation process, its benefits, and the importance of complying with tourism standards to ensure quality services and experiences for visitors.

The activity was graced by Hon. Raymund C. Uy, City Mayor of Calbayog, and supported by Mr. Raymund Ronald Ricafort of the City Tourism, Arts and Culture Office. A message of support was also delivered by Ms. Almira Calbes the President of the Calbayog Hotels and Restaurants Association (CHARA), highlighting the importance of collaboration among tourism stakeholders in strengthening the local tourism industry.

Through the Mobile Accreditation Caravan, DOT8 continues to work closely with local government units, tourism organizations, and tourism enterprises to make accreditation services more accessible and promote quality standards throughout Eastern Visayas.
