ALANGALANG LEYTE –In response to the request of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Alangalang, Leyte, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Leyte Provincial Statistical Office participated in the Munisipyo ha Barangay 2026 held at Brgy. Aslum and Brgy. San Vicente, Alangalang, Leyte on 2-3 June 2026, respectively.

The activity aimed to bring government services closer to the people, particularly residents with limited access to registration centers and other public services. Through the National ID Mobile Registration Team, PSA Leyte provided various National ID-related services to ensure wider accessibility and convenience for the community such as National ID Registration, Issuance of National ID in paper form, and Updating or correction of demographic.

Nitong Abril 2026, umabot sa USD 161.93 milyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng bigas sa Pilipinas at ito ay may kabuuang bigat na 399.06 libong metrikong tonelada.

Alamin ang limang pangunahing bansa na pinaggagalingan ng imported na bigas noong Abril 2026.
Vietnam – 92.2%
Cambodia – 2.8%
Thailand – 2.2%
India – 1.8%
Myanmar - 1.1%

TINGNAN | Eksportasyon ng Ginto ng Pilipinas (April 2026)

Nitong Abril 2026, naitala ang kabuuang halaga ng eksportasyon ng ginto ng Pilipinas sa USD 380.76 milyon. Ito ay mas mataas ng 73.7% kumpara noong Abril 2025.

Samantala, umabot sa 7.31 metriko tonelada ang kabuuang bigat ng eksportasyon ng ginto ng Pilipinas, mas mataas ng 5.9% kumpara noong Abril 2025 na nasa 6.90 metriko tonelada lamang.

📢 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 📢

DULAG LEYTE — In line with its commitment to bring public services faster and closer to the people, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Leyte conducted a house-to-house National ID registration activity for bedridden senior citizens on 28 May 2026 in Dulag, Leyte.

The initiative aimed to provide accessible and convenient National ID registration services to senior citizens who are unable to personally visit registration centers due to health conditions and mobility limitations. Through this effort, PSA Leyte ensured that even vulnerable members of the community are given equal opportunity to register for the National ID system.
PSA Leyte extends its sincere appreciation to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dulag, through its Local Civil Registrar Office (LCRO), for its invaluable assistance in identifying and coordinating with the target registrants, which greatly contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the activity.

LOOK | International Merchandise Trade Statistics of the Philippines (January - March 2026)

The Philippines posted a total export value of USD 22.70 billion and import value of USD 35.50 billion for the period of January to March 2026.

Exports grew by 12.7%, while imports increased by 8.9% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the country’s balance of trade in goods stood at USD -12.81 billion.

Noong 2025, umabot sa PHP 2.27 trilyon ang ambag ng turismo sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas. Tinatayang 16 sa bawat 100 manggagawang Pilipino ay nasa industriya ng turismo, katumbas ng 7.70 milyong trabaho sa iba’t ibang sektor.

Kabilang sa mga industriyang may pinakamalaking bahagi sa tourism employment ang:
