Earlier today, during the meeting held at the PSA RSSO II Building in Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) RSSO II introduced the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) to its partners in the Department of Education (DepEd) to enhance data integrity and transaction efficiency.

During the session, Mr. Darwin F. Concon, Information Systems Analyst I for Cagayan, presented the comprehensive NIDAS authentication and onboarding process. To showcase its practical application, Ms. Ma. Iseendra N. Miguel, Registration Officer III of PSA RSSO II, live-demonstrated the Ateneo BUILD system powered by NIDAS.

DepEd warmly welcomed the development, noting that it brings great news for their operations. They highlighted that the integration will effectively clean their database and ensure seamless transactions, particularly with their locally developed system currently used by their Human Resource Management office, which is primed for NIDAS integration.

This collaborative step paves the way for a more secure, streamlined, and digitally integrated public service framework!

Earlier today, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) RSSO II successfully hosted an Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting with valued partners from the Department of Education (DepEd), focusing on the registration of unregistered learners into the National ID.

The meeting opened with remarks from Chief Administrative Officer Rose Q. Paccay, who emphasized, "Our partnership over the past five years has proven that when we work hand-in-hand with our schools, we can successfully bring public services closer to our children without disrupting their education."

Following this, Regional Director Engr. Girme M. Bayucan spearheaded the meeting online and presented the "Busog Lusog + Rehistro Bulilit" proposal program to DepEd.

Demonstrating their full support and presence during the meeting were the Schools Division Superintendents (SDSs): SDS Orlando Emmanuel of SDO Nueva Vizcaya, SDS Madelyn L. Macaling of SDO Quirino, SDS Cherry S. Ramos of SDO Cauayan, and SDS Rachel Llana of SDO Isabela.

PSA expressed deep gratitude to DepEd for five years of unwavering support in National ID implementation, successfully conducting school-based registrations under their signed Memorandum of Agreement while strictly upholding the "no-disruption of classes" policy. Reviewing 2026 data, the agencies focused on strengthening their partnership to close remaining registration gaps and register all unregistered learners into the National ID and PhilSys.

During the discussions, DepEd agreed to provide learner data for crossmatching to identify those who are not yet registered in the National ID, subject to the existing data sharing agreement between the PSA and DepEd.
