🍃 Barangay Ecological Solid Waste Management Committee (BESWMC) Orientation 🌱

The BESWMC Orientation was successfully held on April 24, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Canelar Integrated School, gathering our Purok Officials, Vendors Association, Establishment Representatives, and residents for an informative session on proper waste management and environmental stewardship.

Our sincere gratitude to our Resource Speakers, OCENER Environmental Management Specialist I– Akhmad Jaafar Albesso and Sanitary Inspector – Mark Anthony Lee, for generously sharing their expertise and insights.

This activity was spearheaded by the Committee on Solid Waste Management and Sanitary Health Chairperson, Kagawad Carlo Billy Fidel💚

We also extend our appreciation to Kap.Godofredo Sabordo Sr. Kagawad Ramon Jacinto, the entire Barangay Council, Barangay Staff, and Barangay Tanods for their unwavering support.

The DILG Zamboanga City Field Office headed by LGOO III Isidro Cillo Jr., in collaboration with the Composite Validation and Assessment Task Team (CVATT), is currently conducting the quarterly validation for the Barangay Road Clearing Operation (BARCO), Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG), and Barangay Kalinisan Day (BARKADA).

As of now, the validation has been successfully completed in the barangays of Zone 1, Zone 2, Camino Nuevo, Canelar, and Guiwan. Additional barangays are slated for validation in the coming days. The ongoing evaluation process is set to run from April 6 through April 16, 2026.

Through the active participation of the barangays, we aim to pave the way for a more harmonious future.
