It was honor to welcome mst.Gulnara,Dr Jamil,mst Tania,Dr fareed and mst hasna from the United Nations Population Fund,Islamabad at the School of Nursing and Midwifery Lahore.Ms Rukhsana Kausar Director TR&P and deputy director also accompanied the visit team. Director TR&P briefed the working of Sonm, Lahore.
The visit included a tour of the SoNM Lahore facilities,skills lab,science lab and anatomy museum .they also interact with SoNM students and faculty .
We sincerely thank the UNFPA team for their valuable time insightful interaction, and technical support towards quality maternal and healthcare education.

International midwifery day 5th May 2026 at school of nursing and midwifery ,Multan

Population Welfare Training Institute (PWTI) Lahore has been organized One-day orientation session on 04-05-2026 for the representative deputed from all offices of Chief Executive Officers(CEOs), Punjab for the preparation of files of LHVs to be submitted to the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Counsil (PN&MC), Islamabad in a uniform way and complete in all respect.

We were honored to host the esteemed team from UNFPA and Health Services Academy during their visit to School of Nursing & Midwifery (SoNM), Lahore.Ms Rukhsana Kausar Director TR&P welcomed the esteemed guests and briefed them about the ongoing project regarding Schools of Nursing & midwifery in Punjab working under health and Population Department.
The visit focused on strengthening arrangements for the training of SoNM staff as Midwifery Tutors for the BS Midwifery (BSM) program—an important step toward enhancing the quality of maternal and newborn care education.
The delegation also toured SoNM facilities and appreciated the ongoing efforts, commitment, and standards maintained by SoNM Lahore under guidance and administration of Director TR&P.
Directorate TR &P look forward to continued collaboration in building capacity and advancing professional education in midwifery.

Visited School of Nursing and midwifery Multan on 10th March 2026 for grant of affiliation for BS Midwifery and Nursing Programmes.Director TR&P,Mst.Rukhsana Kausar and Principal SONM Multan,Dr.Mobashra Batool coordinated and fascilitated the visit.At end Director TR&P presented souvenir to guests.
