Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) is an independent authority established in 2018 to oversee and regulate world-class free zones in Qatar.

QFZ participated in the World Investment Forum 2026 in Doha, hosting a luncheon for Special Economic Zones and Investment Promotion Agencies and taking part in an executive roundtable on investment promotion.

The engagements brought together key stakeholders to exchange insights on the evolving global investment landscape, strengthen international partnerships and explore opportunities to advance investment and economic growth.

شاركت هيئة المناطق الحرة - قطر في منتدى الاستثمار العالمي 2026 بالدوحة، حيث استضافت مأدبة غداء للمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة ووكالات ترويج الاستثمار، وشاركت في جلسة طاولة مستديرة تنفيذية تناولت سبل تعزيز الترويج للاستثمار.

وشكلت هذه المشاركات فرصة لتبادل الخبرات والآراء حول التحولات التي يشهدها المشهد الاستثماري العالمي، وتعزيز الشراكات الدولية، واستكشاف فرص جديدة لدعم الاستثمار والنمو الاقتصادي.

QFZ participated in the UK-GCC Strategic Dialogue in London, where H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of QFZ, joined a high-level panel discussing infrastructure, industrial transformation and strategic growth, highlighting Qatar’s investment opportunities and the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the UK and GCC.

As part of the ongoing partnership between QFZ and Qatar Foundation, students from Earthna’s Young Climate Leaders programme visited QFZ to gain insights into its ESG strategy and sustainable operations.

The visit also included a tour of QFZ investor Skydrops, where students explored practical approaches to water security and sustainability, gaining firsthand insights into how innovative solutions are addressing environmental challenges.

في إطار الشراكة المستمرة بين هيئة المناطق الحرة - قطر ومؤسسة قطر، استضافت الهيئة مجموعة من الطلاب المشاركين في برنامج قادة المناخ الشباب التابع لمركز إرثنا، للتعرف على استراتيجية الهيئة في مجالات البيئة والمسؤولية الاجتماعية والحوكمة، والممارسات المستدامة التي تتبناها في عملياتها.

وشملت الزيارة جولة ميدانية في شركة سكاي دروبس، إحدى الشركات المستثمرة في المناطق الحرة، اطلع خلالها الطلاب على حلول مبتكرة لتعزيز الأمن المائي، وتطبيقات الاستدامة على أرض الواقع، ودور التقنيات الحديثة في مواجهة التحديات البيئية.

Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) has received the Excellence in Government Environmental Management Award, presented by the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment under the League of Arab States, during an award ceremony held on the sidelines of the Arab Forum for Environment in Cairo, Egypt.

This recognition reflects QFZ’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability, responsible environmental management, and the adoption of sustainable practices across its operations, contributing to Qatar’s broader sustainability objectives.

حصدت هيئة المناطق الحرة - قطر جائزة التميز في الإدارة الحكومية البيئية، المقدمة من مجلس الوزراء العرب المسؤولين عن شؤون البيئة التابع لجامعة الدول العربية، وذلك خلال حفل التكريم الذي أقيم على هامش المنتدى العربي للبيئة في القاهرة، بجمهورية مصر العربية.

QFZ signed a strategic MoU with Aethon International to explore the development of advanced manufacturing capabilities in Qatar’s free zones, including a regional facility for high-performance reinforced thermoplastic piping serving the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Colby Swain of Aethon Energy highlighted the company’s plans to manufacture advanced piping solutions from Qatar and its ambition to position itself out of the country as a regional and global base for manufacturing, innovation and technology.

وسلط كولبي سويين من أيثون إنرجي الضوء على خطط الشركة لتصنيع حلول متقدمة للأنابيب انطلاقًا من دولة قطر، وطموحها للاستفادة من موقع الدولة كمركز إقليمي وعالمي للتصنيع والابتكار والتكنولوجيا.

QFZ signed a strategic MoU with Emerson to establish a regional operations center in Qatar’s free zones, strengthening industrial automation capabilities and specialized technical services across the region. The signing took place on the sidelines of Qatar Economic Forum 2026 in New York.

Judson Duncan, Group President, Global Sales at Emerson, shared the company’s plans to expand its service capabilities, establish a certified flow calibration lab, and enhance support for customers across Qatar and the broader Middle East.
