A fire broke out at Block 439 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4 on 31 May 2026, with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) alerted at about 1.20pm.

This incident is another reminder of how quickly a fire can spread in a home and how smoke can affect not just the unit involved but nearby residents as well.

A firefighter was also taken to hospital as a precaution after experiencing back pain.

At King Fire, we believe fire safety starts with awareness, preparation, and the right protection systems.

Let’s stay vigilant and do our part to keep our homes and communities safe.

Simple fire safety habits can make a big difference:
• Never leave cooking unattended
• Switch off electrical appliances when not in use
• Avoid overloading power sockets
• Keep escape routes clear
• Install and maintain smoke detectors and fire extinguishers at home

At King Fire, we believe fire safety starts with awareness, preparation, and having the right protection systems in place.

Let’s stay vigilant and do our part to keep our homes and communities safe.

Wishing the affected residents a smooth recovery, and our appreciation to SCDF for their swift response.

Hands-on learning, stronger fire protection expertise.

Our team recently engaged in a Securiton training session at the King Fire office, focused on the new SecuriSmoke ASD 2000.

The session combined theory and hands-on product familiarisation, giving our team a better understanding of the aspirating smoke detector's capabilities, key features, and applications in advanced smoke detection.

At King Fire, continuous learning helps us stay ready to support our clients with reliable, up-to-date fire protection solutions.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the training an insightful and engaging session!

A hotel fire at JA Plus Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, reportedly broke out at the rooftop area on 21 May, leading to a major evacuation and leaving four people injured.

Initial investigations suggest that an electrical short circuit on the rooftop area might have caused the blaze.

However, forensic police are expected to conduct a detailed examination to determine the exact cause once the situation is fully stabilised.

Firefighters were praised for bringing the blaze under control after more than an hour of effort.

Incidents like this remind us how quickly a fire can escalate in high-occupancy buildings such as hotels, where evacuation routes, early detection, emergency lighting, alarms, suppression systems, and trained staff can make a critical difference.

For hotels, commercial buildings, and facilities, fire safety is not just about compliance. It is about protecting lives when every second counts.

Stay prepared. Stay protected.

Protect what water can’t.

For environments such as server rooms, data centres, telecommunications facilities, control rooms, archives, museums, and other high-value spaces, traditional water-based suppression may not always be ideal.

That’s where King Fire’s Gas Suppression Systems come in.

Designed to detect and suppress fires quickly, gas suppression systems release a clean gaseous agent to control fires without using water — helping to protect sensitive equipment, minimise residue, reduce downtime and support business continuity.

- Fast and effective fire suppression
- No water damage to critical equipment
- No residue after discharge
- Suitable for mission-critical environments
- Can be integrated with fire alarms, smoke detectors and building management systems
- Designed, installed and maintained by experienced fire protection specialists

King Fire provides gas suppression solutions for applications including total-flooding systems, cabinet systems, server protection systems, and aerosol systems, tailored to the risks and operational needs of each facility.

When every second matters, the right fire protection system can make all the difference.

Following a deadly fire in Hong Kong, authorities are proposing a smoking ban across all construction sites to reduce fire risks and improve worker and public safety.

The move comes after investigations suggested that improper smoking practices may have contributed to the tragedy.

Construction and renovation sites are often filled with flammable materials, temporary electrical setups, and confined working spaces.

Making even a small ignition source potentially catastrophic.

At King Fire, we believe fire safety starts with prevention. Simple measures such as:
• Strict no-smoking policies near flammable materials
• Proper housekeeping of combustible materials
• Fire watch procedures
• Early fire detection systems
• Staff fire safety training

It can go a long way in preventing devastating incidents.

Whether it’s a construction site, industrial facility, or commercial building, staying vigilant and prepared is critical.

Fire safety is not just about compliance; it’s about protecting lives.

A fire can start in seconds, even from something as common as a charging power bank.

A recent fire at a flat in Simei left one person hospitalised for smoke inhalation and caused significant damage to the unit. Preliminary findings by the SCDF indicate that the fire likely originated from a power bank that was charging in the living room.

Incidents like this are an important reminder that lithium-ion batteries and charging devices should never be taken lightly. Overcharging, damaged batteries, poor-quality products, or leaving devices charging unattended for long periods can all increase the risk of fire.

Fire safety tips for homes:
• Avoid charging devices overnight or unattended
• Stop using swollen or damaged power banks immediately
• Use certified charging cables and adapters
• Keep charging devices away from beds, sofas, curtains, and other flammable materials
• Ensure your home is equipped with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers

Quick detection and early response can make all the difference between a minor incident and a devastating fire.

At King Fire, we believe fire safety starts with prevention, preparedness, and awareness. From residential fire safety essentials to advanced fire protection systems, we help homes and businesses stay protected before emergencies happen.

Recent reports indicate that global fire outbreaks have already reached record highs in 2026, with over 150 million hectares burned between January and April alone.

Scientists warn that extreme heat, drought conditions, and climate change are creating longer, more intense fire seasons across many regions.

While large-scale wildfires may seem distant from everyday life in Singapore, the reality is that rising temperatures and heat stress can also increase fire risks closer to home:
- Overheated electrical systems
- Lithium-ion battery fires
- Industrial and kitchen fires
- Increased strain on equipment and infrastructure

At King Fire, we help homes, businesses, and facilities stay ready with:
- Fire extinguishers & suppression systems
- Fire alarm & detection systems
- EV & lithium battery fire protection solutions
- Integrated fire safety solutions for commercial and industrial spaces
- Fire safety consultation, maintenance and servicing

Preparedness saves lives, protects property, and reduces downtime when seconds matter most.

Don’t wait for a fire incident to think about fire safety. Prevention and readiness are more important than ever in a warming world.

In hazardous environments, every breath matters.

A Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is a critical piece of life-saving equipment designed to provide clean, breathable air in environments filled with smoke, toxic gases, or low oxygen levels.

Commonly used by firefighters, emergency responders, marine crews, and industrial workers, SCBAs help protect users in immediately dangerous atmospheres.

King Fire’s RHZK SCBA is engineered for safety with features including:
- Full-face respiratory and facial protection
- Positive-pressure compressed air system
- High-pressure 30 MPa input system
- Pressure gauge with alarm whistle for added safety monitoring
- Designed for smoke, toxic gas, and oxygen-deficient environments

Important reminder:
When the alarm whistle sounds, users must leave the hazardous area immediately. Proper inspection, cleaning, and maintenance are also essential to ensure the apparatus performs reliably when lives are on the line.

In fire safety and emergency response, preparation and proper equipment can make all the difference.
